I will be able to take on any field of criminal justice that I’m allow to with this degree. Being as though criminal justice is a great field to be working in, I will strive for greatness so that my degree will not go to waste. With my associates in Criminal Justice, my stepping stone for success will be greatly accessible. The next goal that I set out to achieve would be to become a member of the dean’s list. Being on Central Penn Dean’s List will show that I’m a hard working student and is dedicated to getting all of my work done in a timely and successful manner.
I have had the opportunity to meet with a local recruiter Sergeant. Grove and ask him some questions about the steps that are required to become a Marine. Candidates have to take a test called the ASVAB which stands for The Armed Forces Vocational Aptitude Battery (Sgt. Grove). This test is also offered when you are in high school.
21 November 2011 Argument Analysis The argument I'm analyzing is regarding the recent decisions by the Portland Public School Board of allowing counter recruiters in to our high schools. This decision was made to inform students on the pros and cons of enlisting into our military force. A Privileged Point of View saw things differently with this action taking place. Otero Police Department Organization Law enforcement has evolved rapidly since the times that citizens could take the law into public hands by policing their own. Even through many changes over the years police organizations in America still use a military style of policing which was developed by Sir Robert Peel back in 1829. This military style of policing is not the only component that makes a policing agency, there are many components that form organized policing agencies and each component is important to making law enforcement successful. This paper will describe the various types of police agencies at the federal, state, and local level and how each is organized. Also this paper will identify the principle role and functions of police organizations, their roles as it applies to the law, and also identify the major organizational theories associated with policing.

Computers and network technology has allowed television to offer "video on demand" services moving away from traditional "linear" or scheduled television. Equally the Internet has become important for newspaper publishers. Newspaper has been a dying format for years - it is very difficult to compete with newer media that gives news up to the second when you present yesterday's news tomorrow on a sheet of paper. Consequently, a lot of newspapers have started to concentrate on producing Internet offerings.
Reactions, feedback, conversations and debates are generated online as well as support and participation for offline events. Messages posted to personal networks are multiplied when shared, which allow new audiences to be reached. Although the presence of social media is spreading and media use patterns are changing, online political engagement is largely restricted to people already active in politics and on the Internet. Other audiences are less responsive. For example, television news together with print and online newspapers are still the most important sources of political information in most countries.
Not only has media convergence made it possible for us to access these things from a computer but we now have iPhones, iPads, Android phones and even email that allow us to search websites for news, music and television shows. For example, there are many shows such as The Voice, American Idol and XFactor, all which come on television but can be accessed online , you can now even use your phone, social media sites and even send a text message to vote for your favorite act. Another great example of this would be in an academic environment, we once were required to buy our books or rent them from a local library; now hard back books have been replaced with e-books making the need for us to rent books unnecessary. I will compare and contrast how I use social media and how other countries may use it in this paper. Most weeks I use only three types of social media: Xbox live, Facebook, and Twitter. I do use a few others but not on a daily or even a weekly basis. I use Xbox live the most out of the three because I play maybe 3-5 hours every weekend.
