The key points in this week assigned readings are: The effective use of the DPE approach is breaking down the walls and examines the child's disability and how it affects him/her in the classroom as well as at home. Teachers can explore and learn the child's basal age and their ceiling age to have a better idea of where they should focus their instruction. In the diagnosis phase, the basic goal is to analyze the disability and find out what learning style the child leans toward, as well as what level and rate they are functioning at. . The evaluation phase is a key component of any program, and that is to determine what the student knows and is learning in the classroom. The testing material should be valid and reliable so that it can be adopted on a regular basis. What are some of the Human Development theories? Erikson’s theory, focused on the stages of an individual from birth to adulthood. This theory stated the process of stages that children go through as he or she grows up. Each stage is supposed to be taken into consideration as one focus on life and what should be gained from it. Paget’s theory explains human development because he explains in detail how a child goes through different stages of growing. His view of how children's minds work as well as increase has been extremely significant, particularly in educational theory. Paget meticulous insight was the responsibility of maturation (plainly growing up) for kids increasing capability to appreciate their world: they cannot take on certain tasks until they are expressively mature as much as necessary to do so.
