The Islamic religion was created around the years 610-630 A.D. by a man named Muhammad.. In 610 A.D., Muhammad received his first message/revelation from the angel Gabriel. At first, Muhammad interrupted his encounter with the angel Gabriel to be the work of a demon. However, after some convincing from his wife Muhammad was convinced that he was selected to receive the word of God through the angel Gabriel. The revelations that Muhammad received are now considered to pivotal text included within the Islamic Qur’an (Islamic bible).
The ways of the world have changed, and things are not quite so barbaric. People still continue to believe in the teachings of both Jesus and Muhammad. Muslims are encouraged to pray, Facing Ka’bah, five times a day. Mosques, or places of worship, are attended each week. During Ramadan, Muslims will fast and they are encouraged to try to make at least one pilgrimage to the Ka’bah, in Mecca, at least once in their life.

It was to be a joyous celebration, to be observed throughout the generations.
The Kaparot Ceremony is usually done during the Ten Days of Repentence before Yom Kippur. Kaparot means atonement. It is preferred to perform this ritual before dawn, the day before the feast of Yom Kippur. The act of Kaparot involves reciting the following text: Children of man who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, bound in misery and chains of iron --- He will bring them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and will sunder their bonds.

I will give a brief history of the Koran and those who are believed to be involved in writing it. Also, I will then give my opinion on what I have learned and how I feel about the Koran. I kept an open mind reading the Koran despite what the media and extremist say about the Koran. Just like the Christians believe in the Bible and the Jews believe in Torah, the Koran is the sacred book of Islam.
For example, Independence high school Asian Pacific club were honored at the meeting while the council embers declared that instead of celebrating Asian Pacific week, it will now be celebrated all throughout the month. The Asian Pacific Islander club form independence high school gave some background of their culture here in San Jose. Other ceremonials included National Travel and Tourism week May 5-13, International Compost Awareness week May 6-10, Municipal’s clerk week April 29- May 5, and a national/prestigious award was given by the American Council of Engineering for the Happy Hollow Park and zoo pedestrian Bridge Project. The Happy Hollow park and zoo pedestrian bridge was originally set to begin constructing in 2007. This was a time when construction was in bad shape because there was no money available to spend.

God instituted the feast of ingathering as a special fall harvest for the ancient nation of Israel (Exodus 23:16; 34:22). The Israelites were instructed to bring a tenth of their harvest along with all firstborn animals of their herds and flocks to a specific location for celebration with other families by feasting and sharing their harvest with the needy and less fortunate (Deuteronomy 14:22-27) Walker 2004 Jesus kept the feast of the tabernacles (John 7:2-8, 34-40). Jews still observe this feast today it’s known as the “Sukkot” which derives its name from the Sukkah or temporary dwelling.
These texts are responsible for teaching, as it is a guide used to relay direction and knowledge for its followers. The texts are also used to assist the passing on of teachings about that particular religion. For the Islam nation, that most sacred text is the Qur’an. It was not until 610 A.D. that Islam’s Holy Qur’an was revealed to Muhammad, whom was Islam’s greatest Prophet. The Qur’an came through a series of revelations to Muhammad, from the angel Gabriel when Muhammad was 40 years old, away on one of his common retreats for solidarity in the city of Ramadan.
Speech… The Rosh Hashanah Festival marks the beginning of the Jewish New Year, it is held on two days in September. It is a time of renewal and forgiveness of sins. The festival is followed by a ten day period in which God gives the Jewish people one last chance to make up for their sins and therefor have their name inscribed in the book. It is significant for individuals as Jews consider these two days as judgement days where God compares their good deeds to their bad deeds and decides what the coming year will be like for them. It is also a time for them to think about their priorities in life and reflect on their achievements from the past year.
