Education has the great power to change lives every day. Education can fight poverty and take people out of the gritty side of life. It also lowers the violence in communities and keeps them safe. Lastly it reduces the risk of becoming addicted to drugs and alcohol.
At least 80% of humanity lives on less than $10 a day. Poverty nationwide has become a great issue. The only solution to ending the cycle of poverty is education. Education gives people the opportunity to succeed in life. By having a great education people have a better chance of obtaining better jobs. In result of people having better jobs they earn more money than they would without their education. When people access a great job they have more time to relax and don’t have to live check by check. Education is the key to overcome poverty.
Over time the crime rate has been escalating. Statistics show that in 2010 there was; 14,748 murders, 84,767 rape assaults, and 367,832 robberies in the United States. Young Americans who haven’t had the luxury of education have been spending time with the wrong influence. So now others have to fear to cross the street because they might get killed or robbed. By people not having an education they don’t realize how bad their crime really is. Or most times people have so much need of money, because they don’t have the education to obtain a good job, that they must rob to survive and have a roof over their heads and food on the table. Without education communities aren’t safe.
To be addicted is to be enslaved to a habit. Now a day’s many people are addicted to alcohol and drugs. Alcohol and drugs do nothing but kill you. Education minimizes the chances to become involved with these horrible addictions by informing people about the risks. Many people who are uneducated do not know how bad drugs and alcohol really are. People who don’t have a good education in their life end up not caring because they are not succeeding in life....
