The movement of Christianity had become popular for immigrants to migrate from Europe to America with the opportunities to abandon current religious groups. A sense of freedom of religion and economic gains had filled other countries townspeople with hopes and dreams for a better life. This ‘meant an opportunity to strip away the corruptions of Europe, to join Christian faith with liberating aspects of American experience.’ In this era the townspeople were tired of being forced to fight regarding religious and political beliefs.
