My ancestors emigrated from England and my heritage is that of Scottish, English, and aboriginality. My father is the oldest from a family of 2 boys, since my father was the oldest he was like a second father, he was always out his father with the farm and at the age of 12 was sent out to work at a chook farm. My mother being the middle child of seven brothers and sisters, my mother had to take her place in the care of the house work. Both grew in the same type of family and both knew what it took to work hard to get what they wanted in life. When I was growing up I was never given all the things that I wanted, my parents taught me that I had to work had if I wanted anything, that I only got what I needed not what I wanted.
In 1832 her family moved to America where she became an avid abolitionist throughout her late childhood and early adulthood. In 1836 her father’s sugar refinery burned down and in 1838 her family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in an attempt to re-establish the business, unfortunately three weeks after their move Samuel died from Bilary Fever. Pressed financially after her father’s death Elizabeth and her three sisters started a school for Young Girls. In 1894 her sister Anna, helped Elizabeth acquire a teaching job paying $400 a year in Henderson, Kentucky. In 1856 Blackwell adopted Katherine “Kitty” Barry a Scottish Orphan.
I grew up with my grandma and my aunt. My dad took us with him and my older sister. My grandma was the one who took care of us, but she was old. My grandma can’t read or write. And while I had my toys and my friends around I still had to be responsible about doing my homework and wake up every morning and wear my clothes to go to school.
Martin de Porres was that he was known for his unique healing powers. An example of one of his healing miracles is when an 87 year old lady from Paraguay, was given a few hours to live. She several severe intestinal blockage and had suffered a heart attack. All the doctors had given up on her and were already making arrangements for her funeral the following day. However her daughter and some friends were praying to St. Martin and said 15 decades of the Rosary, asking above all through the intercessions of St. Martin that her mother would still be alive by the time she herself could reach her mother’s home in Paraguay.

Cesar Gutierrez Jr. History 1301 George Washington When thinking of George Washington, first president of the U.S. is probably the first fact that comes to mind. We grow up learning that at such a young age, and sadly that’s probably the only thing some know about him. The numerous amounts of victories in such difficult battles is quite mind blowing, leaves you wondering where we’d be if it wasn’t for him. Which is why George Washing is known as the Father of the U.S. and many will argue, the best president of the U.S. by far. Washington was born on February 22,1732 in Westmoreland County, Virginia and was the first son of his father Augustine Washington and his second wife Mary B. Washington.
He has a wife of 4 years, back home and shares the farm with his mom and dad. He has only seen a Native American once in his whole life. He has a normal childhood, going to school (in his own home, his mom taught the neighborhood kids), playing with his four sister and his former brother; who died when he was two from whopping cough. Student Name Literacy Narrative 1 My family; my mother and siblings in particular, played a large part in why I enjoy reading so much as an adult. We moved from town to a small farm house in the country when my siblings and I were all very young. We rarely watched television; my family was too poor to afford cable and seldom got any reception from using antennas. And trust me, we children did try our hardest to get a signal on TV, all we heard in school was other kids talking about the adventures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Duck Tales, and Nickelodeon shows . We had never even watched anything on Nickelodeon, and we really wanted to see someone get doused in this mysterious green goop we kept hearing about!
