Connor and Murphy and their friend started a fight with the Russians, which ended in beating the Russians. The next morning the two Russian mobs came in to their apartment and try to kill them. The two brothers killed the Russian mobs in self-defense. Because the Mob was involved in the incident, FBI is also involved in the investigation. Special agent Paul Smecker is assigned to the case.
Was King John really a bad king? Most people think that King John was a bad King for example he taxed people heavily, he lost wars, also he stole from people. People only believe this because in those times the monks where the only ones who could write but they were all biased to the Pope. John did do good things for people such as he fed paupers increased the size of the navy. In this paragraph I aim to prove that king John was a bad king.
“Violence: An American Tradition” In my opinion, I believe violent ‘trends’ are often repeated in American culture because of selfishness, ignorance and fear. I mentioned selfishness as a factor because that is what drives man to show disrespect towards another. Putting yourself as priority, you are left no room for reason or understanding. This in turns leads into the lack of knowledge, which is ignorance. Ignorance and the lack of understanding a person may cause diversion between two people of two different cultures, race or religion.
The men under the command of Candelario Lopez burned and looted the city and the forces under Pablo Lopez, Beltran and Castro attacked the American forces. The men under Cervantes penetrated unopposed into the heart of the city killing anyone who stood on their way. After kicking the door open to the commercial Hotel they searched it desperately looking for Ravel who was out of the town at the time. L. Burkhead the postal administrator left the hotel with his wife and kids through a back door just before the hotel collapsed in flames. Arthur Ravel who was 16 years old at the time, witnesses this carnage only because the two men assigned to accompany him to his dad’s store were shot by the town folk.
He was quoted as saying, "they ALL mocked and slaughtered my self esteem it got so bad I had to turn to drugs." Only days after Thanksgiving, Carneal walked into school with his arsenal of weapons and opened fire killing two students (Newman 26-27). Another example from the book is that of Andrew Williams of Santee, CA. Similar to Carneal, Williams was harassed and teased because of his scrawny appearance. He seemed to take this in stride though, however, on the inside he was being destroyed.
All of the nine men were arrested and taken to the Jackson County jail in Scottsboro, Alabama. That night, a mob gathered outside the jail. But the Governor sent the National Guard in to protect the young men, who would become known as the Scottsboro Boys. A crowd of ten thousand men came to

An example of how the 1920s were not an age of tolerance was how immigrants were treated badly; a demonstration of this was the case of Sacco and Vanzetti, two Italian-American men, who were arrested and charged with murder and robbery in Massachusetts. They were armed when arrested but there was not enough evidence to pin the blame on them, however they were still found guilty by the judge and sentenced to the electric chair. This just showed how they were caught up in an atmosphere of intolerance and anti-radical prejudice because of their origins and political views. A new trial was rejected and the men were executed in August 1927. The fate of the 2 men symbolised the antipathy felt towards foreigners after the First World War and unfortunately immigrants were the most obvious recipients of this, thus showing that 1920s were not really an age of tolerance.
He also used adjectives like exacerbated, intransigent, dissonant anarchy, vindictive, bitter and incessant. Baldwin described his anger to his father as incongruous, sardonic, bitter, paranoia, fearful despair and appalling. Baldwin described anger as all consuming and dangerous to a heart because the ultimate loser is the hater. The(pg.59) relationship between black and white America and his own father is a story of loss, anarchy and hate. He regrets that he could not overcome the obstacles in his personal narratives.
Stephanie Rios Instructor: Joey Poole Eng101 15 September 2015 On March 3, 1991, an African-American man was caught by the Los Angeles police after a high-speed chase. The officers pulled him out the car and beat him brutally while a resident caught it all on tape. Four LAPD officers were indicted with charges, however, after a year of trial, a white jury acquitted the officers. That decision sparked violence in all of Los Angles. Chaos surrounded the city, infuriated mobs roamed the streets, and several citizens were injured, dead, and arrested.
