206 Question Booklet Task A – Short Answer Questions Ai Explain three differences between a working relationship and a personal relationship. 6 marks • In a working relationship I would spend time with the person im working with INSIDE work but not outside of work as this would be a personal relationship • In a working relationship I would not let personal opinions of a person affect the way I treat them as in a personal relationship I could treat someone differently if I choose to. • In a working relationship I would not have any intimacy with the people I work with where as in a personal relationship I could have intimacy with someone if I choose to. Aii Give two examples of different working relationships in an adult social care setting. 2 marks • A social care worker must have a working relationship with the service user • A social care worker must have a working relationship with other colleges. Aiii Explain why it is important that social care workers work in partnership with individuals using the service and their family. 4 marks This is important as different individuals may have different knowledge of the service user for example what they like and what they don’t, religious beliefs, routines they may have had, personal preferences etc. all this information that may come from family members, doctors, nurses, carers etc. can be used to keep the service users best interests and to make a suitable care plan especially for the service user so that they are happy and kept safe.
