Ten years ago, I witnessed an unjust privatized execution of an innocent man named George Brent. The police are now uncovering new evidence that proves who the true culprit was. I never personally knew the people involved in this case, but I thought it was such a tragic story. More people need to be made aware of the unlawful acts that occurred many years ago. Court cases were never on trial for more than a few days, so most of the time, innocent people were sentenced to death. This kind of thing often happened due to the fact that private organizations were in such a haste to make money from their public executions. Later, the police discovered she had been raped before being killed. Nearby surveillance showed George and Elva walking together from the kitchen towards the alley where Elva was found. George was arrested immediately and, in no time at all, convicted for sexual assault and first-degree murder then sentenced to death. On the day of the execution, thousands of people paid to sit in the stands and observe George be electrocuted for his disgraceful actions. I sat in the midsection of the bleachers. Down in front of me and to the right I could see George's four brothers, his two sisters, and his mother and father. They were all dressed in black. His mother was sitting in between them all, crying while her husband embraced and comforted her with tears in his eyes. His brothers and sisters were watching their mother while also fighting back tears. When I looked to my left, I saw Elva's parents along with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. They were all wearing khaki pants but had on the same T-shirt. The T-shirt was bright orange, Elva's favorite color, and in the center it had a picture of Elva holding the family dog and smiling as if she didn't have a care in the world. In black, bold print it read, "Elva Campbell, a loving daughter from 1961 to 1980". The family all had the same look of joyful-hatred and
