This paper attempts to explain the reasons behind Kody Scott’s delinquent behavior and why he decided to live the life of a gangster. The numerous strains and obstacles placed in Monster Kody’s path cannot be attributed to the reasoning of a single theory. The combination of theories of delinquency that best explains Kody Scott’s life is the social disorganization theory, the differential association theory, and the social learning theory. By exploring Kody Scott’s delinquent behavior it is possible to understand similar individuals’ reasons for committing delinquent acts. Differential Association Theory At a young age Kody had to make a decision whether to live a gang life or a life of a civilian.
Why lets dress him up and promote him and ourselves in the process (see how good I am, see how I help the homes) but he soon fell from grace when society was forced to take a closer look at the problems of homelessness. Politics is simply war without bloodshed – and in this battle… They provide a reinterpretation or redefinition of what homelessness means. Realization that everything in society is intertwined.
Nick would visits schools in the city, suburbs or rural areas and tells students what a life of crime did to him, what he faced in prison, and how he was able to turn his life around with the help of those he loved and God. He hopes his preaching about the long term effect of gangs and drugs will deter children from a life of crime and choose the correct path in life. He encourages children to talk through their problems with counselors or their religious providers. Too Mean to Die’s sequel would show readers that Nick the Greek did overcome his evils, and his life did remain changed after his release into society. It would track his future works with his Inside Out program.
This journey is one of realisation and the pathway to maturity. This can be discussed in many different scenes from the movie. The most important thing to pete during the journey are his spiritual beliefs and ways learnt from his grandfather Jubbi. Before the journey pete was just a young boy, messing around with his best friend kalmain, believing his grandfathers 'old' ways were useless, and thinking he could look after himself but couldn't. The journey put pete into realisation that everything his grandfather had taught him had saved his and kalmains life.
Together, humanity can create innovative ideas for serving others in society, it can “meet hate with love,” and flourish beyond one’s wildest dreams (140). Eboo Patel believes in providing service at a young age, and working to better the world by encouraging people of all races, religions, and situations to serve their communities in order to aid those who are in need. In order to make the most difference while serving, one must immerse himself into the project wholeheartedly, like Patel demonstrates in his story, Acts of Faith. While volunteering at his local YMCA, the then young Patel quickly acquires something new and appealing about the lives of people unfamiliar to him. He begins to cheer for someone other than simply himself.
The voice of Frank shows the immaturity of him during his childhood. That juvenile voice magnified the intensity of the book and grabs a hold of the readers attention. Frank McCourt, it seems, intended to write this book for anyone who has lived, or is living a hard childhood. This audience could relate with what he went through. I think Frank is trying to teach that the struggles that you go through only make you stronger when you have to face the world.
Adrian was quoted saying “I am starting to realize that a lot of guys look up to me, older guys, and even younger guys, are asking me questions and ask me about how to handle situations. I'm young, but that leadership role has been on me so I need to live up to it.” The one word that sums it all up is leadership. Adrian is an all around role model to people of all ages. Adrian is also about giving back to the community, he has a foundation called the All Day foundation named after his own nick name. This mission of the all day foundation is to raise funds for the purpose of inspiring hope, enriching children’s lives and building a better future for our nation’s kids.

This story has shown many sides to brotherhood. It has shown the angry side that brings out sadness and rage. It has shown the understanding side when the brothers finally begin to learn about each other and the lives they lead. It also shows a progressive side that brings out love and trust between brothers that are willing to work to make each other better people.
