Revelation god revealed his will and law to humanity through the Quran. Salvation Is life after death and judgment day will result in eternal reward or punishment Depending on god’s mercy. In Islam there were many prophets who guided the people to the right paths and the last prophet was Muhammad (P.B.U.H) there is only one Sacred book in Islam and that is the Quran. In the Quran God tells us what is haram forbidden and halal unforbidden. God tells us how we should live our daily lives.
The statement “I declare there is no god except God, and I declare that Muhammad is the messenger of God"(Qu ‘ran 3:191) is to be said with pure sincerity and great commitment. Some Muslims recite that statement 17 times every day. They are also required by The Qu 'ran to recite “May peace and the blessings of God be upon him” (Qu ‘ran Surah, chapter 13), to show respect to Muhammad. By the phrase “Muhammad is our messenger”, Muslims affirm that Muhammad is not to be considered divine. They look up to him as a role model for a husband, a father and a politician.
Similarities and Differences between Christianity and Islam This section on Christianity and Islam has been very interesting for me. As a devout Christian, I’ve always had an interest in learning about Islam. We were given good information for this unit, but I had to do a little more research because Sura 2 and 4 in the Qur’an did not give me basic concepts for Muslims. What astounded me were the similarities between the Fateha (Sura 1:1-7) and the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13). They both focus on adoration, submission, and Supplication.
“In God We Trust” is America's motto, introduced in 1956 to replace the original motto E Pluribus Unum, but was America Founded as a Christian nation? The major hurdle in answering the question is to define terms properly. The concept of a Christian nation is often written off because of misconceptions as to what this means. A Christian nation is not one in which all people in a society are all Christians, just as in an Islamic country, not all people are necessarily Moslems. But in a Christian nation, as our Founders would have defined it, the principles and institutional foundations are Biblically based and the people in general share a Biblical world-view.
C.S. Lewis once said, “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” No matter where one travels in the world, the concept of religion will always be present because people need something to believe in. However, without experiencing the aspects of every single religion, opinions of different religions may be inaccurate. In Greg Mortenson’s book, Three Cups of Tea, he traveled to Pakistan and parts of Afghanistan. Doing so, he was exposed the everyday lives of Muslims.
The four other pillars include, fasting (Saum), prayer (Salat), and pilgrimage (Hajj), alms-giving or charity (Zakat), Shahada is a declaration that is made by followers of the Islamic faith, which says, “there is no true God except Allah,” and also says that, “Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Christianity and other religions whose bible teaches that God is part of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit); Islamic faith teaches that Allah is the one and only God. Muslims also firmly believe that Muhammad is Allah’s greatest prophet, and it is important that those who practice the Islamic acknowledge and recognize him as such. They also believe that Allah used Muhammad to convey the last and final revelation (Slick, 1995-2010). The second pillar, Salat (Prayer), is a prayer that consists of confessions of sins and concluding with purification of the soul.
In general, there are similar ethical beliefs amongst Christians due to Judaism being the only root of Christian ethics. In general Christian ethics is deontological and authoritarian and what is deemed right or wrong is based on belief in God. The ethics of Christianity is based on the holy bible, which is a library of books that expresses Christian faith. As the bible was written over a long period of time and includes many different teachings and morals, there is no overall biblical morality that can be chosen therefore different denominations choose different parts of the bible to support their beliefs. For instance in Genesis it says that ‘God breathed the breath of man into Adam’s nostrils’ and from this Roman Catholics can argue that as God has given life, only he can take it away so things such as abortion, euthanasia and murder are absolute wrongs.
(Pg 30;33). Bill Fay stated the Christian believer must go out and share their faith with the non-believer through the use of the scriptures of the bible. And example was given by Bill Fay when he came across a young man that he was witnessing to concerning turn his life over to Christ, so Bill Fay referred to the scriptures and ask him to read what it said, after reading Bill ask what does it say, but the demons in the man did not want him to acknowledge the word of God. Bill asked the young man to read it many more time before the power through the scripture broke him away from the demons and into the arms of God. There is no God, but God and Muhammad is the “Messenger of God”. Muslims are also required to tell others of Islam so they will have the information needed to make an intelligent choice, the use of coercion is ruled out ( Fisher, 2005). The second pillar is the performance of a continual round of prayers. Five times a day Muslims are expected to face Mecca and go through a ritual of prayer in words and action, which signifies their submission to Allah. Muslims are encouraged to be in constant prayer to see their lives more objectively.

Thus, it is inerrant and infallible. * Members of the Baha'i Faith believe that the writings of their founder, Baha'u'llah, are inerrant and infallible. However, there are exceptions. For example: * Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recognizes four canonized scriptures: the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price.
