05/04/12 Fitness Improvement Goal A) During this course i have felt as well as seen a physical change in my body. I have gained more muscle mass, as well as improved my muscle strength and endurance. Im able to lift and push more weight on the machines than before and i feel much more energetic. B) Some of the challenges that i faced during the fitness program were keeping up the general class rhythm and pushing myself to complete all activities after coming to class from work. The class is only 3 hours long, so to be able to get full workout we needed to be changing machines and moving from one workstation to the next, this can prove to be a challenge when you are used to going to the gym at your own pace.

The female waist measurement of 29.5 inches or below is awarded 30 points. Neither scale changes with age as do the points awarded for the strength exercises, such as pushups, situps, and the 1.5 mile run time. Creating an equal and fair scale to award points for body composition for both men and women regardless of age is an important factor in determining overall fitness (AFI 10-248, 2006). The Air Force should use A BMI (Body Mass Index) or height to waist ratio for the point scale instead of a straight across the board scale for all ages and heights. They should also include age in the ratio to even out the scoring even more.
