Federal Law Enforcement Agencies: How They Impact the World Abstract In today’s society, when people think of protection and enforcement of laws, they immediately think of the local police, the local sheriffs, or the highway patrol. Of course, people have heard of the federal law enforcement agencies, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, but what people do not realize is that there are so many more agencies that take part in making sure that the laws of the United States of America are enforced, as well as making sure that the general public is kept safe from enemies both foreign and domestic. Throughout this term paper, many different aspects of federal agencies that enforce laws and also keep the country safe will be brought to light, as well as the many different benefits and downfalls of having such federal agencies. While there are many people that believe that federal law enforcement agencies are only established to make the life of an average citizen difficult, in truth, federal law enforcement agencies only help out this great society. First world examples will also be used in elaborating just how important and necessary federal law enforcement agencies are in today’s day and age, and just how much people of today take these agencies for granted. Federal Law Enforcement Agencies and How They Impact the World When societies were first created, it was an absolute necessity to have rules, laws, and other regulations that have a sole purpose to maintain law and order. Otherwise, the society would simply fall apart. As time progressed and technology improved, the laws that were first put in place were obviously revised and changed to match with society’s changing ideas.
