Jenna’s mother and her get into arguments over Jenna asking her mother to watch her son. Jenna has to pay for daycare after school for him while she is at work and has little money to pay for additional daycare when she would be at college classes. Her mother says that she has raised her children and does not believe that she should have to help her daughter because she received no help with her children. Jenna has a 17 year old sister who does help with watching her son, but Jenna also feels guilty always having to ask her and has no money to pay her to watch her son. Jenna and her sister are close, her sister plans on attending college at the end of her senior year and wants to study to become a doctor.
For example, the families of an unwed mother would often send her to a far home for unwed mothers to be. There she would endure her pregnancy without much support from her family and after birth the child would be put up for private adoption. The unwed mother would then return home as if nothing ever happened. Often times the family would never speak of it again. In contrast, in more modern times, unwed mothers are more abundantly seen and accepted.

I have. I have 4 adult children that have moved back home for periods of time over the last 2 years. It seems that they are not able to make it financially on their own.
Personal experiences that we go through with our family help shape what we say and do in life. When the author is home she goes to visit a cemetery that is important to her family. Her husband is puzzled by this and questions why she would need to go to a cemetery. What he doesn’t understand is that this is one of the things she did when she was being raised, and possibly one of the things that shaped her opinions on life. Another thing that is unique about where one grows up is the “lingo” and “quirks” that are unique to that family.
Let’s call her Lisa. Lisa is a stay at home mom of four children ages 4, 6, 8, and 10. Her husband works two jobs just to keep the household running. The reason Lisa does not work is because of the extreme cost of daycare for the four children. Colonial marriages were more like business deals, with men choosing mates that were strong, obedient, could bear many children, and of course, some chose ones with dowries or annual income. Mortality rate was high in women and children, 30 percent of children died before the age of 16. Childbirth was the leading cause of death in women, which left husbands for caring for young children and they would quickly remarry.
1 Sarah is a teenager, she dropped out of high school because of she has got a child. She lives at home with his mother and sister who initially help her with child, but after a while they did not bother to help her as much anymore, and she must take care of here own at home. She has no father because he died last year. she is tired of her child, she never comes out the door. she gets bored she feels lonely, she would like to return to school.
After her mother’s death, Zora’s father wasted no time in finding another woman to call his wife. When he did remarry he did not have very much time and money for his children anymore. So Zora worked very much after her mother’s death and this caused her to forget about high school. So Zora did not finish how school on time and graduate with her friends like others. After a few years of traveling as a maid to a singer she decided to go back to school though and finish, but she was 26 by now.
Examine the extent of and reasons for family diversity in UK today Britain has become a pluralistic society more than one family types exist this is due to family diversity increasing. Family diversity is variety. It is the different types of family types that exist for example single parent families, same sex families and re-constituted families. In the past the Nuclear family was the most popular family type that existed it was seen as the ‘normal’ family type. However now only 25% of families actually live in the nuclear family whereas 75% are diverse family types.
