For the Petersan’s their allowable expense will be $3,000.00 for their one qualifying child, and based on their AGI of $90,916.00, they are limited to a $600.00 ($3,000 x .20) credit. This calculation is made using the table on Form 2441, and then reflected on line 48 of Form 1040. There is one additional credit they will qualify for and that is the Child Tax Credit. This is an up to $1,000 tax credit (reduces tax dollar for dollar) for each qualifying child subject to income limits. Assignment 013- Understand Partnership Working in Services for Children and Young People Task A Why is it important for children and young people that you work in partnership with the following people/groups? Parents, carers and guardians This partnership is very important because parents or carers need to trust the nursery and staff that work there. They will expect the best quality of care for their child. Partnering well with the parent or carer of the child will increase good communication including sharing important information regarding the child needs, wants and development. Building trust with parents or carers will result in them knowing that the nursery is a very good place for their child as it offers a great amount of help and support, which is especially important for new parents or carers.

The 61-year American tradition of guaranteeing cash assistance to the poor came to an end with the signing of legislation in August 1996. Under the old system, founded during the Great Depression, the federal government provided fairly uniform benefits to the nation's poor – mostly mothers and children – without regard to the details of their personal circumstances, and with no time limit. But over time, the system became increasingly unpopular.
The 1948 national assistance act helped people not in work or the elderly who had not paid substantial enough contributions into the new national insurance scheme. Similarly, the 1945 family allowance act paid a small amount of money to all mothers of two or more children. This allowance was paid to mothers, not fathers, to ensure the money was used to benefit the children. Significantly, the industrial injuries act of 1946 paid compensation for all injuries caused at work. It was paid by the government and covered all workers.
My final project with Chesapeake Childcare Department was to create a grid to track the vendor visits by the Social Workers and to work with the workers on the training seminar. The vendor training seminar was a gear towards getting all the credentials up-to-date in our records and to have all the memorandum agreements signed, which are used to pay the vendors. Good relationships, clear communication and common goals between parents and practitioners are crucial to the successful delivery of an effective service. Every major legislative or policy document contains reference to ‘partnership’ and the importance of ensuring that parents are informed about and involved in strategies and approaches to the care and education of their child. Partnership with parents is based on the belief that good working relationship, clear and mutual communication and common goals between parents and professionals are crucial to the successful delivery of effective services to children. MacLeod-Brudnell (2004, p.412). Partnership with parents should be a key aspect of provision.
