“Discuss the relationship between stress, anxiety habits and phobias and discuss how you would treat these issues with hypnotherapy” Stress, anxieties, habits and phobias are massive parts of our everyday lives and for a lot of people they can become extremely hard to deal with. Especially if our brains have not been programmed to withstand the pressures of unexpected stresses. Of course we need some stress in our lives to motivate and inspire us when being creative and at work, but when chronic stress gets hold of us it can have devastating emotional and physical affects. (10% of our population are reported to suffer from chronic stress) Stresses and anxieties themselves are known as two of the biggest causes of absence from the work place in Britain and America. This has a lot to do with the pressures and demands of a contemporary life style and the uncertainties it presents. Something we have learnt is that the subconscious finds extremely hard to deal with which often can be the catalyst of stresses and anxieties trying to cope with the feelings that relate to possible success or failure. From a study of 30,000 people aged from 13 – 65 world wide these results were found. (chrysalis notes) 1. Women who work full time jobs and have children under 13 report the greatest stress worldwide. 2. Nearly one in four mothers who work full time and have children under 13 feel stress everyday. 3. Globally 23% of women executives and professionals and 19% of their male peers say they feel “super stressed”. Women are in fact more likely to suffer from stress and because of the current socio and economic climate men are more likely to suffer from acute stress. There maybe more men in extremely high demanding pressurised jobs and it is also unfortunately not deemed as socially acceptable for a man to display and talk about his feelings in the world we live in
