The new LDL levels were notably measured by their percent change from the old LDL levels. It is said that the 6 mg/kg dose lowered LDL levels by a percent change of 56% while the 3 mg/kg dose lowered LDL levels by a percent change of 46%. After 4 weeks the scientists found that some patients even had a LDL level reduction on 80% on the highest dose (6 mg/kg)! A blocking variable of name, race, or gender is not noted in the article. However, it is said that patients using cholesterol-lowering statins were used for the experiment which means patients who had high levels of cholesterol were mainly used as experimental

A scientific review of existing studies found no evidence to suggest that hypnotherapy worked better than other smoking cessation aids or no treatment at all. However, some individuals have reported success in quitting smoking with the help of hypnotherapy. For hypnosis to be successful as a way to stop smoking, the person has to have faith in the therapist and be okay with being in a passive and susceptible state of mind. A History of Hypnotherapy as Treatment Hypnotherapy has been used in psychological treatment since the 1950s, when psychiatrist Milton H. Erickson showed the potential of hypnosis as an aid to traditional therapy. The American Medical Association and the American Psychological Association recognized hypnotherapy as a valid medical procedure in 1958.
The evidence provided in this study concludes that soda can be a leading factor in obesity rates, and that water or lower-calorie drinks can help prevent obesity. In another study performed by Dutch researchers, equal amounts of students were assigned to drink either one cup of Coca Cola or a drink sweetened with Splenda each day. The results concluded that “after 1 ½ years, weight, waist size, and body fat increased more in the youngsters who got the sugary-drinks” (“Getting Fat on Sugary Drinks” 8). A lot of the absences at Constructit are due to injuries and this means that there could be a higher percentage of possible work accidents since there is physical activity involved. However, Castor Collins also must be reminded that many on the job injuries are not paid through personal health insurance but through Injured Workers Insurance. 91 employees of Constructit are smokers, which is less than ten percent of the entire employee population. Therefore, the possibility of incurring extra cost for future health issues related to smokers is not a big risk factor. The biggest risk for Castor Collins in insuring the employees of Constructit would probably come from self induced health problems related to smoking and obesity.
The journal does not truly seem to provide any usefully information because it does not reveal much of the educational side of their psycho-education. It does however provide all of the information of the experiment. It shows all the results, which does not hold much meaning due to the current outcome. The information that was provided in this trail is just a more detailed description of an unsuccessful trial. The information that was found on Google and in other psychological websites gives more information about the disease and how to manage it for the individual, family, and friends.
