The only reason they voted for Ralph was because he had the conch. This shows how important the conch was to all the kids at first, but as the boys became more and more savage the conch started to be worthless to them, along with civilization and order. The conch was originally a powerful symbol of civilization and leadership, but the boys stopped caring about it, so they stopped caring about the last bit of civilization they still had. There was still a small sense of civilization left in all the children that kept that kept them from becoming total savages. But that was lost when Roger killed Piggy and destroyed the conch.
His father was never the perfect parent. Quentin's ZOMBIES were never even close to perfect. But, that does not mean we must hide away all of our imperfections. Quentin hid his sexuality and carnal needs instead of going to someone to talk about them. His father merely became angry and burn Quentin's magazines and Ken-doll as to remove the images from his mind instead of trying to figure out why Quentin had them in the first place.
This demonstrated that Boo had no connections to anyone outside his house since he was not allowed to have one which made misery rain on him. Lastly Boo was always discriminated and never appreciated for anything he had done to serve society. As the people of Maycomb always on thought of Boo being a bad person, he was shown evidently that he served society as a secret hero such as when he had saved the children from Bob Ewell; “Mr. Ewell was tryin’ to squeeze me to death . .
When Victor's creation was made he says, "'When I looked around I saw and heard of none like me. Was I, the, a monster, a blot upon the earth from which all men fled and whom all men disowned?'" (105). It would not have taken much to help his creation but since he was afraid of causing problems he ended up causing a bigger
Lennie was very isolated also from the ranch workers because he wasn't normal and acted very childish, this mustn't of been nice for Lennie and that is how the ranch is unpleasent for him. Carlson made Candy's life on the ranch very hard because he depised Candy's smelly old dog, in the book Carlson kills the dog because it was old and it stank but he never cared about how Candy felt about the dog he just cared about himself. Carlson killed the dog eventhough he knew how much Candy loved it, when Carlson suggested killing the dog “Candy looked for help from face to face” but nobody helped him. The reason why Candy couldn't stop Carlson from killing his dog was because he was a very brittle old man and was mainly over powered by people stronger than him. This event was very unpleasent for Candy.
Victor’s action to run away caused William’s death and made Justine look like the killer when the evidence was planted from the blood. I see it as Victor was never going to be truly happy because there was so much he really didn’t know and could not handle the whole situation. People during the Enlightenment tried to handle many things on their own but certain things should just not be touched or you will find out the hard way. It was like finding a million dollars in the street and keeping it thinking no one would ever trace back to finding you because it was something that huge. He paid his price and it was a great one, the role of God is not to be played
Animal Farm and An American Tail are similar in many ways. One of the ways I found they are alike is that they both represent the Russian Revolution. In Animal Farm, the animals represent people were significant in the Russian Revolution. Napoleon was the head pig. He led the rebellion against the humans.
In chapter 3 when ralph approaches jack to inform him that they need his help building shelters, not going hunting. “And they keep running off…” “Except me and my hunters…” (50) Here we see that ralph and jack do not get along because jack feels that since he is out hunting all day, he doesn’t need to contribute anything else to the group. * The littluns speak out of line with out the conch. * Conch is broken Body paragraph 3: evil destroys and corrupts the naturally innocent * Humans are naturally born as innocent beings, but when exposed to the society, they also face the risk of being harmed and corrupted by the societal settings they live in. During the coarse of the novel, there are subtle changes that take place in the behavior of the boys’.
The only two who kept by each other’s side throughout the whole novel was Ralph and Piggy. “We musn't let anything happen to Piggy, must we?” (Golding page 106). The other boys didn’t care to stay with who was going to help them get rescued, they only wanted to enjoy themselves and hunt. Piggy and Ralph slowly start to realize what Jack is actually about, they get really frustrated and their plan to get rescued was going downhill. “You're a beast and a swine and a bloody, bloody thief!” (Golding page 163).
Even though he has been selected as chief of the island, his voice was gradually becoming useless. The followers fancied an achiever like Jack, not just a speaker. Ralph's most important objective was to go gome, but the boys were too caught up killing pigs to realize that the fire had been left uncared for. Infuriated that the chances of being rescued vanished, the leader demands an explanation for the lack of responsibility. But at that instant, Ralph realizes his leadership lacks contron as he "...watched them envious and resentful" (Golding, 79).
