When I ask the kids at Rosario Beach (at Deception Pass State Park) which critter is their favorite, they often tell me it's the hermit crab. It's easy to figure out why kids and adults love hermit crabs. Their antics in the tide pools are certainly entertaining. I'll bet you didn't know that some hermit crabs are terrestrial. One amazing species (Birgus latro) can climb coconut trees, cut a coconut loose, and can make a hole in a coconut so it can eat the inside!
Compare and contrast how Duffy and Lochhead explore aspects of the natural world in two of the poems you have studied. ‘The Dolphins’ by Carol Ann Duffy and ‘The Beekeeper’ by Liz Lochhead both explore aspects of the natural world very skilfully in their poetry. Their focus is largely similar where it is ‘the man’ in Duffy’s poem and ‘The Beekeeper’ in Lochhead’s who have ultimate control over the animals. However, they express their views in a very different manner, where both work equally well to explore the theme. It is important to examine the title of each poem in order to help appreciate how the poet will portray the theme.
Did you know that the Blue Bottle is also known as the Portuguese Man Of War. This is because it looks like a Portuguese battleship with a sail. They live in the warm waters all over the world. They live in large groups, sometimes in groups of thousands. When it is windy and the sea is rough they sometimes get washed up on the beach.
A variety of fishes, invertebrate animals, and plants can be found on these underwater wonderlands. Throughout the world, there are many coral reefs that are home to many species. Coral reefs are thought of by many as the rainforest of the sea. Coral reefs are produced from corals when they secrete calcium carbonate. These reefs play a very significant role in the overall health and nutrition of their marine environment as wells as, the entire planet.
Brighton through the Butler model EXPLORATION Dr Russell recommended especially that people try the water near Brighton, proclaiming that sea water was superior to those cures provided by inland spas. His ideas were widely acclaimed in England and abroad, and despite dispute regarding the best ways to use sea water, "few disputed its value". INVOLVEMENT The bathing machine was a device, popular in the 18th and 19th centuries, to allow people to change out of their usual clothes, possibly change into swimwear and then wade in the ocean at beaches. Bathing machines were roofed and walled wooden carts rolled into the sea. Some had solid wooden walls; others had canvas walls over a wooden frame.
Whether you are walking through the tunnel or stand in front of a huge acrylic viewing window, you will feel as if you are a scuba diver in an endless blue sea, because you are mesmerized by thousands of fish swimming overhead. From the tunnel, you will follow a path around to a theater style portal where you can seat and enjoy the view or you can exit the

When people swim with manta rays, they usually interact with people and play with people. This is because manta rays have very high intelligence. The brain to body mass ratio of manta ray is between mammals and bony fishes. Manta rays live in the tropical and subtropical area. Some manta rays live in a particular location while others travel from places to places.
They are coral mining, climate, diseases, tourism, blast fishing, farm runoff, sewage, oil and industrial pollution. Vacationers feel privileged to be able to deep sea dive and get a firsthand look at the incredible biodiversity that the reefs provide. They are unaware of the fact that just by touching the fragile coral, as shown in the photograph; they are damaging its delicate tissue. The coral reefs provide homes for many varieties of plant and animals. Many different kinds of fish live in the reefs as their haven for feeding, reproduction, and safety from predators.
A study on this topic was done to explore how much of an impact these tiny animals have on the ocean currents as they travel in masses. The thought behind this was the mere through of how many of these organisms are contained in our bodies of water, and how larger singular mammals such as jellyfish can move sizable amounts of water by swimming (Lee, 2014, p.1). The study performed was a test with a small organism called brine shrimp, or the nickname “Sea Monkeys”. “Wind-and tide-driven currents move nutrients, heat, and salt around the ocean, and help to regulate the planet's temperature, Dabiri says. In recent years, scientists have started to seriously consider whether collective animal movements—like plankton swimming up and down en masse—could also be contributing to currents” (Lee, 2014, p.1).
