Yes, emotion in the ice cream, because it evokes a sense of season and closeness with the community. For example, my husband and I along with our dog Cody will take a nice fall stroll to the half mile Whitey’s destination in lieu of our pumpkin treat. As we shuffle through the fallen leaves like kids on their way to school, we stop to say hi to our friends and family along the way. The crisp fall air blows against our ears as we smile and bask in the low lying sun’s rays. Sometimes, we can smell a fall fire in the air as we approach our destination.
The lagoon is a wonderful light brown color. The lagoon is too hot but it is not freezing either, this makes it easier for us because we can either make hot coffee of ice coffee. The Lagoon and River are extremely rich in taste. I could drink it all day. My favorite is when I climb to the top of the French vanilla bean tree
A picture perfect beauty. Much like Ansel, nature is therapeutic to me. When I am in a foul mood the best thing for me to do is to go to the river, lake, park or just take a walk, taking in the natural beauty that surrounds me and just breathe. It calms me down and makes me feel better. Although I would not have agreed with this statement ten years ago.
One car had followed me while I walked all the way from the building to my car and the other two just appeared. I though the car which had followed me should have got the spot, but instead she was cut off by one of the two other cars. She then proceeded to roll down her window and yell an obscenity that her mother definitely would not approve of. In today’s society, swearing has become more prevalent than it was before, and out generation has become immune to the shock value of hearing swear words. In Rick Reilly’s 2006 article “Swearing Off Swearing” for Sports Illustrated, he uses ethos, pathos, and logos to attempt to convince the reader to literally swear off swearing.
I cant stand for shopping carts to be left in the parking lot. Its so ease to just walk it over to one of the shopping cart holders, thats why they are there so that carts don't wonder in the parking lot. I always see people un loading there buggies and then just leave them anywhere. People will leave the carts behind cars in the middle of the road. I have even seen people push the carts and it hit the side of someones car.
For a second I Tollin 2 forgot where I am again, can’t breathe, and I feel some intense pain. I look around and regain my perception of what is going on. Amber is crying and looks like she is in a lot of pain. I reassure her that she will be ok and go to try and get out of my car. The door is stuck, so I kick it open and step out into the crisp night air.
As the taxi creeps along the street Wrigley Field slowly climbs out of the Chicago skyline and a beautiful thing occurs every time this happens…silence. We all slowly drift off in our sentences and take in the glory of our team’s home field. The striking red brick of the building, with the bold green ivy lazily climbing its walls and the “WRIGLEY FIELD, Home of the CHICAGO CUBS” sign screaming out from the front, and all receive the deserved moment of silence and respect they demand from those who walk inside its walls. Smiles slowly tiptoe across our faces, all though I am never sure if it is because of the look of the ballpark or the realization that the Cubby Bear is now within walking distance. As the cabbie gets paid his fee, we scamper across the street with a slight bounce in our step, and turn the corner to find our favorite pre-game bar.
February 11th, 2011 Put the Pedal to the Medal On a snowy afternoon after the school bells rand my friends and I ventured out into the parking lot. It is always a zoo out there; cars starting up in every direction and students talking in all corners. Making our way to the car is not the issue, getting out of the parking lot without being in an accident, on the other hand, is awfully irritating. There are constantly other students trying to maneuver their vehicle out of the lot in a rush to leave school. Once we actually got out of the White Bear South Campus parking lot we took a new road where not many others were headed thinking to ourselves that there would be much less traffic.
I can smell the trees and the flowering shrubs as a gentle wind blows them my way. As I head outside through the basement door, I see about seven ants speeding across the sidewalk like little hot wheel race cars. When they make it to the end of the sidewalk, the ants disappear into the rather lengthy, thick, green, grass. Compared to the size of the ants, the grass looks like the Giant Sequoia trees of the Sequoia National Park. This would not be a good time to cut the grass due to the fact that it is still damp from yesterday’s heavy rain.
