Twenge says, “There’s this idea that, ‘Yeah, I don’t want to work, but I’m still going to get all the stuff I want” (Peck 303). Some young adults have not even left their home before. They enjoy staying at home and not realizing that they should go out to find jobs. The main reason why young adults do not want to work is that their parents still guide them like children. Today, millions young adults are facing real problems: lack of job opportunities, housing, and trying to survive in a fast, globalized world.
The Concern or Need A. Reason for Request of Service The reason for the request of service is due to the lack of care for children. School officials have a concern that the family is in need of food, clothing, shelter, and child care. B. History of Concern or Need Client states that a little over a year ago her husband passed away, and since that time she has had a difficult time maintaining the bills on just her income.
Because the elderly have a stereotypical image that they are useless they become a focus point as they have negative attitudes towards things and become more dependent on friends, family and social care services. This theory is like the disengagement and activity theory. The social creation of dependency theory is both sociological and psychological theory. An example of this theory is of a woman that use to participate in a hobby but can no longer do so because she is retired and has a low pension. They believe that people should die naturally and should not be assisted in their death by medical means. People believe that PAS is unethical and should not even be considered. “Many people fear that physician-assisted suicide will create a climate in which some people are pressured into committing suicide. The very old, the very poor, or minorities and other vulnerable populations might be encouraged to hasten death, rather than to "burden" their families or the health care system. Again, this is not a genuine choice, but a social issue, one that stems from how our society cares for its elders and for the poor, and whether minority groups can get good health care” (Lynn, 2006).
This leave little room for doctor’s to spend time at the bedside of their patients. As frustrating enough as it is for doctors, it will be even more frustrating for patients who will be facing limited access and choice. The P.P.A.C.A is certainly bad for doctors, but it is the patients who suffer the most (n. d.). My overall opinion on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is that it will be beneficial to Americans today, tomorrow, and years to come. The reason I say this is because families now have the option to keep their children on their insurance up to age 26.
