When parents and teachers model appropriate behaviors, children are learning how to do the same. Child, Family, and Community:

I will also be giving two examples of how developmental appropriate practice is used in a preschool classroom. Creating a caring community of learners: We learn how to relate to others at an early age. Copple & Bredekamp (2009) say “how children expect to be treated and how they treat others is significantly shaped in the early childhood setting” (p.16). We, as early childhood educators, need to foster a caring community of learners in our classroom to help children build the relationship skills they will need for their future. To do this we need to make sure each member is valued for their similarities and differences.
This is done through play. Some nurseries take children from the age of 2 where as others take between the ages of 0-5. Children’s Centre: They are support pillar for parents from birth of their child. It offers early years education for children, full day care, short term care health and family support, parenting advice as well as training and employment advice. Playground and Crèche: It is available for children under five years and it is run by voluntary groups providing part time play and early learning for under fives.
Which type of job roles can learners apply for on completion? • Assistant pre-school workers • Assistants in children’s centres • Assistants in day nurseries, nursery
In health and social care settings it is important that code of practises are put in place and work. Clients, patients and other service users are to be respected, treated fairly and given equal opportunites. Also service workers should also be given the same amount of respect and equal value to ensure that it is being promoted between both people. When service workers do their job correctly and give out positive equality it is given back to the service workers. All service users are given the same amount of care and treatment as everyone else but are still
CYP 3.6 – 1.5 M | Explain how and why referrals are made between agencies? If a child is already in a setting such as a day nursery or nursery school, it might happen that the parents and staff recognise that he or she needs support from another setting. For example, a child with hearing impairement may need to be referred to a support service for children who are deaf or hearing impaired. Panels are usually organised by local boroughs and are made up of different agencies. These panels determine the access that is available between settings for young children and enable referrals to be made.

Visiting a Early childcare and education center showed me there's a lot more than just babysitting or watching kids. when you enter into the Early child care and Education field you are educating, supporting, being responsible for children and loving them like they are your own. Learning about the importance of knowing as much about every childs family and community around them is a great way to become and have a great daycare. Because young childrenís lives are so embedded in their families and communities, and because research indicates that successful early childhood education depends upon partnerships with families and communities, early childhood professionals need to thoroughly understand and apply their knowledge in this area.
