These beaches are all gently sloping and therefore sandy, which is evidence of a typically depositional coastline, formed by constructive waves adding fine sediments. There are two main types; natural and manmade. The most popular natural attractions consist of The Flecker Botanic (found in Cairns), The Great Barrier Reef, Kewarra Beach (a coastal suburb of Cairns), Four Mile Beach (Port Douglas) and the Reef Marina (The Great Barrier Reef). Tropical North QLD offers a lot of places to see and things to do, they even offer disabled access and child facilities.
One of the biggest amusement parks known around the United States is Cedar Point. Many people attend the park during the summer when it’s warm. Some reasons may be why people go is because there are many roller coasters, good food choices, multiple overnight choices, and a lake with a beach right outside the park. Cedar Point is located in Sandusky, Ohio. Cedar Point has a variety of different rides.
Florida, or otherwise known as 'the sunshine state' is a very popular area with all the things imaginable that people would find enjoyable. Coastal population started increasing very rapidly in the 1960s and 1980s, making Florida the popular coastal zone that it is now. Florida is very subject to coastalisation due to the fact 75% of Florida's population lives along the coastline, and its tropical climate of hot temperatures all year round make it an attractive place to live and visit. Florida is also a peninsula so this means wherever you are, you're near a beach in Florida. There are endless things to do in Florida which attracts people to live there, such as Everglades national park, the range of wildlife you can see such as dolphins,
(World book ency.) I have learned that the Biltmore is a mansion of beauty. And many people like to visit it during the holidays. George W. Vanderbilt was a very smart man when he decided to build this house because it has become a great success. I also learned that the Biltmore has very many activities for the guests to participate in.
Disneyland and Six flags are the most common places families would like to go to, because both places offer a variety of fun activities. California has both places so most families on the west coast like to go there. There are different and similar aspects between Disneyland and Six flags. First Disneyland is located in the middle of Orange County sprawl enabling locals to get there more quickly. Disney calls its place the Disney’s California Adventure; the rides are designed for young kids to enjoy.
What has led to coastalisation in Florida and why is it a problem? Florida, dubbed the Sunshine state because of its climate, is the southernmost state in the USA with facing the Atlantic Ocean to the east and includes over 10,000 km of water surface with more freshwater springs than anywhere else in the US. Florida’s coastline is a popular destination for tourism and migration. But why is Florida really the 4th most populous state in the US? For one, the annual average temperature is 72⁰F with a warm, sunny, mostly dry climate which is perfect for outdoor activities and going to the beach which is suitable for tourism.
Sometimes they get overly excited going from one pool to another and slip on the coral reef, which can put a damper on all the fun. When this happens they usually take advantage of one of the many parks located in the area. The parks allow them to play with both, American and Japanese children. All these activities will leave an impression on them that will last a lifetime. The actual seawall is what makes this area unique.
Geography 104 Field Trip: Observations of On the class field trip to downtown Victoria, I observed a variety of the different building structures, functions, and diversity and how they have evolved over time. Along with my observations I obtained a grasp on some historical knowledge of places including the harbour, Chinatown, and Bastion Square. The Inner Harbour is provides what some might say the most stunning view in Victoria. It is full of adventure and holds different opportunities for both residents and tourists to really experience and adventure Victoria’s landscape. Its oceanfront is home to a major seaplane airport, providing both tours and transportation.
