They lived on a farm in Neilsville, Wisconsin until Satir was old enough to attend school (Suarez, 1999). Satir's taught herself to read when she was only three years old but she was still formally taught in a small one-room school with seventeen other students while living on the farm. Her mother expressed a strong desire for the family to move to the city so that Satir could attend a larger high school, South Division High School in Milwaukee, where she could take advantage of a better education. When she graduated from South Division High School 1932 she was not quite sixteen years old (Suarez, 1999).

In retrospect, Barbie was created as an image icon for all to love and admire. Growing up, I was a self-entitled ‘girly-girl.’ I absolutely loved getting dressed up in frilly dresses and twirling around to see how beautiful it looked. Just like any other girl in America, I owned many Barbie dolls. However, it did not stop with just the dolls; I owned Barbie’s dream house, convertible, and various outfits. I loved playing with Barbie and often took her with me wherever I went.
Their weight looks about forty pounds. 2.) I’m watching a child named Suzie. She looks as if she’s Hispanic and Asian. She seems to have lost her shoe somewhere and is perfectly fine with that.
Hobby Playing with my sister and the kids of my neighborhood in the doll house or hide and seek in the street was one of my favorite hobbies. In the doll house, we used to pretend we were in class, preparing food and also playing with dolls, of course. As, there were 6 of us, all girls, you can imagine how many dolls we used to have. During my childhood I also used to do ballet and practice gymnastics and athletics. And volleyball.

There is a lot of visual imagery, from the description of the 'chalky Pyramids' on the blackboard to the sky splitting open at the end of the poem. We also hear the loving primary school teacher 'chanting', and the children 'croaking' in imitation of frogs. Title The title shows the theme and plot of the poem. In this poem, Duffy affectionately remembers her experience of one year in her primary school, in particular the class of Mrs Tilscher. School, and especially Mrs Tilscher's class, was a place of security and adventure: 'Mrs Tilscher loved you', school, 'was better than home'.
As I grew older I would always love to watch the Discovery Channel, watching Discovery Health and a show Called Birthday. I loved learning new things and anything that went on with the body interested me. Especially when it came to watching women grown with a new life inside of them and then watching how the nurses interacted with the moms to be. How caring and gentle they were with their patients. I feel that I have always had a connection to nurses in the medical field.
