Murders come in all shapes and sizes. They commit their crimes for different reasons and play them out in different ways. Some are very precise in their act, while others are careless. Some murderers, like Ed Gein are so horrible that their problem comes from mental instability and do unbelievably horrible things like using human beings to create different outfits and furniture. Ed Gein has to be one of the most sick people in the world.
This quote shows that the bullies are more concentrated on bullying their victims rather than their school work. This quote also shows that bullies are not very concentrated in school and will probably fail in school and not get a good career. Another example that shows that students are beginning not to care about school is, “Many of the victims are disengaged in school” (Wolpert 1). This evidence is important because the victims are scared of bullies and are really not concentrating in school like before they began to be bullied. Multiple victims who are hurt from being bullied are starting to fail in school.
But is this right, should parents even, principals just blow bullying off like that? Maybe we've seen a bigger kid shoving a smaller kid around, or a girl with less money shunned because her clothes aren't nice enough or she doesn't live in the right neighborhood. Both situations involve bullying, and it's a serious problem in elementary and middle schools nationwide. Too often, we don't take bullying seriously. Young people who are bullied are more likely to skip school or completely drop out.
It's just horrible. Regardless if the kids get help by going to the school counselor or even a psychiatrist, that seems to not always help and that's sad! Dieter Wolke also stated, "In the case of bully-victims, it shows how bullying can spread when left untreated." I couldn't agree more with that statement. Bullying just gets worse and worse the more it gets untreated and continues.
I have seen drugs ruin people’s lives and tear apart their family, there is no doubt that anyone should be doing drugs, let alone kids. The zero tolerance policy is no good for kids, we need to have a different way of going about punishment. Is a zero tolerance policy absolutely necessary? Zero tolerance policy is needed for controlling drugs, but there are negative effects of this policy. If caught with drugs at school students are faced with big trouble, such as, suspension
The boys were considered outcasts and were picked on in school. Many people have come to believe that the motive behind this murderous spree was they were tired of constant ridicule and teasing from classmates. Bullying is a constant problem in schools all over the world; when taken to far this is one example of a horrific outcome. According to the National Threat Assessment Center
When you are just acting on personal wants, and gains, the result is selfishness. Learning morals is the simple lesson on not being selfish and having integrity. The kids in the essay The “Values” Wasteland were applauded for the arrest of an alleged rape towards several early teen girls. They say the school never taught them the rules about sex. I find that hard to believe, and that no one can blame the schools for the illegal allegation towards the kids.
This is why I believe that it’s not the schools fault. Additionally, the article conveys “‘if a school employee witnesses a behavior that is problematic and makes a conscious decision not to address it, it becomes schools problem’.” (Diblasio). This may be true; however it is only resolved for that incident but later on, the bully can decide to be more careful and bully the student more outside of school because an adult intervened. Now I am not saying not to intervene, just that it wouldn’t make the bullying stop completely. Studies have shown that most of the times, the bully is the one that needs more help because maybe he is bullying because he was or is being bullied too. It is also hard to detect but in most cases, this is true.
As they get punished they would lose confidence in themselves, would have a loss of security and face many violent actions. Children who get captured get treated in the worst possible ways you could imagine. The United Nations states that methods of torture inflicted on children include beatings with metal cables, whips and metal batons, electric shocks including to the genitals, the ripping of fingernails and toenails, sexual violence including rape or threats of rape, mock executions, cigarette burns, sleep deprivation, solitary confinements and exposure to the torture of relatives. "In Syria, schools are used as refugee camps and torture centers," said Leila Zerrougui, UN Special
Bullying is a plague that creeps up on schools and spreads through rumors, causing innocent students to suffer. This is serious because, bullying is harmful towards anyone, especially to those in school. It could distract students from their studies and create a low self-esteem that can ruin future careers. Now there are already laws towards bullying such as discrimination, assault, and harassment, but those laws need to be enforced. However they are not, because in most cases of bullying it is usually one person’s word against the others.
