The Blind Side The Blind Side is a true story of how Michael Oher was able to rise above poverty and adversity to become left tackle for the Baltimore Ravens. The story follows “Big Mike” Oher from his admittance to Wingate Christian School all the way to his impressive acceptance to Ole’ Miss. This incredible achievement was accomplished with the help of the Tuohy family and Miss Sue who, despite the overwhelming odds against Oher and the scorn of some of the more narrow-minded members of the local community, saw incredible potential in Michael and helped him persevere to achieve greatness in academics, sports, and life. The Blind Side offers inspiration and motivation to those who seek it. An incredible example, this story shows how being a great leader can help one serve others and achieve success in life. 1.
