Choose the biography of a corporate leader. Explain in detail the 3 most important leading characteristics he/she has. Explain how you see the leadership of this person reflected in his/her company. Conclude analyzing if there is a leading characteristic of this person that you would like to learn. Why? How could your develop it? As a corporate leader I choose Martin Luther King (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968). He was an American clergyman, activist, and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He is one of the most significant leader in the U.S history, he is seen has a hero and a peacemaker all around the world using nonviolent methods as Mahatma Gandhi. Martin Luther King had a lot of leading characteristics. He was brave, carrying and handling difficult situations without the use of violence. He was trustable, reasonable, fare and revolted by the world’s injustices. He wanted an equal world. For this he fought really hard. He had this competence to always try and do everything to succeed. He would never stop fighting for racism. He had the capability to be extremely persuasive in his speeches. His most famous one was at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. During this speech, he said “We hold these to truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal.” During his life there were a lot of segregation problems. It was hard to fight for this kind of issues but Martin Luther King never gave up. At this time, the blacks had to leave their seats to white person, etc. Martin Luther King organized boycotts and for leading the Civil Rights Movement, he was awarded a Nobel Prize. Martin Luther King took a lot of responsibilities and had a great deal of quiet inner strength. He is apt to be surrounded by people who rely on him and has a lot of people admiring him.
