Name: Tutor: Course: Date: The works of Vincent van Gogh and sol LeWitt and Japanese influence on European art 1. In drawing a comparison and contrast between the works of Vincent van Gogh and sol LeWitt, Vincent van Gogh’s application of symbolic colors and paint to express subjective emotion have created the basis of defining abstract expressionism, which started with the Americans after the World War II movement of art creation and presentation. LeWitt’s work, on the other hand, has been used as a basis for the use of traditional art materials during the creation of artworks. However, his use of traditional art materials had been improved, to involve the use of digital technology and computers to create and edit these materials. Some
Now we can compare Japan’s chart of cotton yarn (Document 2) with India’s cloth textiles. (Document 2) shows that Japan is quickly entering the textile marker by its great increase in pounds of yarn made. This is due to the increased use of machines in Japanese textile making. An additional document would be useful by separating Document 2 in to two documents one being Hand spun yarn and the other being machine spun. It would be easier to compare and accurately account the increase of mechanization in japan’s textile industry.
Zemeckis is from the “Spielberg camp of film-making” and has even had Spielberg produce many of his films (IMBD 2012). Prior to the creation of Forrest Gump, Zemeckis directed several other well-known films including 1988’s Who Framed Roger Rabit, which was one of the leading films of its time to use animation
Compared with India’s cloth textiles, Japan’s chart of cotton yarn in Document 2 shows that Japan is rapidly entering the textile market by its great incrementation in pounds of yarn made. This is due to the incremented utilization of machines in Japanese textile making, but since the chart groups have both hand-spun and machine-spun together, an additional document would be a broken down chart that shows Japanese hand-spun and machine spun yarn, as well as hand-woven and
In late 1999 to 2000, the digital animation world was on a huge surge, along with 3D and Web animation, other businesses were opening up in hopes of doing work for the bigger companies, for example, Warner Brothers Animation, DreamWorks SKG, and especially Disney. In 1998, FOX decided to have Film Roman, INC., work on season 1 of The Family Guy, we decided to ship our work to smaller companies to get the bulk of the production done, quickly and efficiently. We found out China, India, Philippines, and other countries were opening up studios and purchasing USAnimation to service their work. We looked into a company, Color Chips, in Hyderabad, India. They were well-managed, experienced animators, and have licensed over 40 USAnimation computers, meaning there would be 40 people working in production and would be a lot quicker to complete.
In fact, Hollywood survives today because of its television markets. PANAVISION: Replaced Cinemascope in the 60’s. The process allows 35mm negatives to be blown up to 70mm release prints. North by Northwest Overview Upon viewing Alfred Hitchcock’s film North by Northwest, we are first introduced by Hitchcock’s famous opening credits. These credits utilized horizontal and vertical lines which fade into the skyline view of a building, these lines continue remain prevalent throughout the rest of the film. If one looks closely nearly every scene contains constant vertical and horizontal lines, whether it is in the rooms, outdoor buildings, farms, even the Mount Rushmore chase scene contains dozens of vertical lines. Whether this was done purposely is unknown to me, but knowing how Hitchcock hand draws every scene wouldn’t make me surprised if he did. Aside for that we can look into the journey that our protagonist takes.
Although there a many similarities in Wall’s A Sudden Gust of Wind and Hokusai’s Shunshuu Ejiri, there are also a considerable amount of differences. The most obvious difference between the two artworks is the medium. Jeff Wall’s piece is a type of photography where he “creates his works using actors and actresses on location, as in a movie production, and uses a computer to construct elaborate scenes.”(TK) Hokusai, on the other hand, used the woodblock method. Which is a method where the “image would first be drawn onto washi (Japanese paper), and then glued onto a plank of wood, usually cherry. Wood would then be cut away, based on the outlines

The first country I choose to research is Japanese culture it is rich and diverse... It is widely known for its traditional arts as well as its contemporary pop culture. Today, in Japan it is still possible to see kimono-clad women shuffling down the street with umbrellas overhead or oversized sumo wrestlers battling it out in the ring. A sophisticated cuisine, unique social customs, and refined performing and visual arts also contribute to a culture which has become attractive and sometimes fashionable, too many foreigners. Japan Location is eastern Asia, island chain between the North Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Japan/East Sea, east of the Korean Peninsula.
