05-21-12 Period 3 Obama’s Care/ Romney’s Care Political Debate As everyone knows Barack Obama won the last candidate four years ago by promising many changes but how many of those changes have actually been established to make a difference in our country. Talking on the Obama’s care he did pass the Affordable Act Law which hold insurance on many companies, preventing employees to discriminate people because of their status as in mental or physical activities, but the question is what things did he do for all this? The next proposal will let you see the changes these both have proposed and how it affects others by Obama trying to accomplish his changes when its not doing nothing but hurting them in certaion ways. Obama’s whole bill page was more than 2000 pages when Romney’s was only 70 pages more than half of Obama’s. Romney would not increase
His wife Michelle is profiled in next month’s edition of Oprah Winfrey’s magazine, O, and he was the first politician to grace the cover of Vibe, Rolling Stone for the Bet crowd. Even the rapper Common has featured him in one of his songs. On October 5 Obama was the first—and so far onlycandidate to create a profile on BlackPlanet. BlackPlanet crimes ranging from scams to online bullying are on the rise, and they are getting more sophisticated, experts warn. It's no secret that scammers on the social media website rely on carefully crafted baits that often include scandalous and explicit video content or exclusive footage of the latest and hottest events, from celebrity death claims to never-before-seen footage of a natural disaster. Just last week, a "clickjacking" scam that claimed Lady Gaga was found dead in a hotel room spread like wildfire on BlackPlanet thanks to a link that took users to a fake BBC News website.
Within a year of returning to Arkansas Clinton began his political career he ran for the House of Representatives but was defeated by a narrow margin of 52% to 48% by the incumbent, John Paul Hammerschmidt. However Clinton was undeterred and two years later was elected to be the Attorney General of the state of Arkansas. Two years after that in 1978 Clinton furthered his political career by getting elected as Governor of Arkansas becoming the youngest governor in the country at the age of 32. I find it truly amazing that he was able to accomplish so much by the age of 32, he had done more than many have in a life time, and when you take into account that he was in school until he was 27, you really see just how incredibly successful Clinton in just five years of completing his
According to Ryan Lizza, “Dwight Eisenhower, Herbert Hoover, and William Howard Taft, all were elected with no prior political experience. Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt both entered office with only two years experience. Franklin Roosevelt and Calvin Coolidge had four years each. Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, Warren Harding, and George W. Bush each had six years prior political experience.” Of the 11 mentioned, only four served more then one term. The lesson is that experience may be the key to Barack Obama’s presidential
Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream Currently serving his second term as the 44th president of the United States of America, Barrack Hussein Obama II was born on August 4th, 1961. After being published on October 17th, 2006, President Obamas book, The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream, became a success right away becoming a best seller for both Amazon and the New York Times. Like some of the other texts read in The History of the Civil Rights, Obamas thesis in his work is not written in stone, yet his thesis is prevalent in the prologue of the book. Writing ““Recently, one of the reporters covering Capitol Hill stopped me on the way to my office and mentioned that she had enjoyed reading my first book. “I wonder she said, “if you can be that interesting in the next book you write.”
In other words, 11% of American citizens do not own a government-issued photo ID. Amber Wheeler 11/15/12 I chose Shepard Fairy’s “Hope” poster from the 2008 presidential campaign because I am a proud supporter of our second term President, Mr. Barak Obama. I see the vision he has, and I appreciate the message he spreads throughout the United States; that everybody matters. I was over joyed when Obama was re- elected, that is what gave me the inspiration to research a painting of him by Shepard Fairy. The message of “Hope” that Fairy captures in this painting comes across so real and pure because you can see the pain and struggle of his journey to presidency through his eyes. Frank “Shepard” Fairy was born and raised in Charleston, SC.
Both Kennedy and Obama in their first years as president brought an energy to the White House similar to that of lots of young people embarking on a new journey. Their outings as husbands and fathers are well-documented. Also both of their wives became fashion icons, even though their styles differ. Both men are known for their intellectualism. Three books are attributed to Kennedy—A Nation of Immigrants, Why England Slept and Profiles in Courage.
