There is much exploration of different themes in this novel, including science versus ethics, and good versus evil. There are many ways to explore the future worlds, and many authors draw on current events and issues to aid them in their discoveries.
Unfortunately, those feelings have now gone out the window and I stand here before you ... terrified Well, in my quest to find words that would describe you, XXXXX, what better source than to ask your friends and family; so buddy here are some words I jotted down They say you are a great friend, thoughtful, caring, trusting and charismatic. In fact I barely found a person who had a bad word to say. Although, I did find some. When I heard belligerent, ungrateful, lazy, stubborn and obstinate I thought…hang on, that’s a bit rough, but if his parents don’t know him then who does. Of course this is not true or we wouldn’t all be here today.
Death comes in a variety of ways, pride and honorship towards ones own being. As opposite as light and darkness, The Montagues and The Capulets in “ Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare often share too much pride, causing looking down on each others family and affecting a decision which would later result as a tragedy with the lack of responsibility. Friar Laurence seen as a confiding person wanted the two families to come together, but with the turnout of events, he is contemplated for the
Poets use repetition in a very powerful and different ways to create a rhythm, or emphasize their feelings and ideas. That is how they draw a person’s attention to a certain idea. The literary device anaphora is “the deliberate repetition of a word or phrase at the beginning of several successive verses, clauses, or paragraphs” (Dictionary). In poetry, this method and other forms of repetition can be extremely useful in delivering the full meaning of a poem. Different cultures have all engaged and written great poetry using the idea of repetition, but each culture uses it to show a different meaning or purpose in the speech.
Everything from a three line haiku to a 1000 page novel has an underlying theme. In many cases there are several interlocking ideas that are present within one work of literature. These ideas slowly develop throughout the work bring the reader one step closer to discovering the true reason behind the piece of literature. Every author carefully portrays the theme so that the reader continues to be enthralled in the work and has to ask questions that can only be answered by understanding said theme. Death is a theme that has be revisited by many authors and poets time and again in countless ways with several interpretations.
I read through tons and tons of poems until I found The Road Not Taken. What really stood out to me in this poem was that the author (Robert Frost) was faced with a decision that would have a great impact on the rest of his life. With knowing that, I knew that this would be relatable among readers. So going into the project I was quite sure that I had an easy way out. Little did I know that every single line had a meaning within the words.

But there is a dark side to it that people often fail to see. And this dark side can actually leave them feeling worse about themselves; and failing to make sought-after changes in their lives. Kristin Neff, a renowned researcher on compassion, expressed the downsides of pursuing high self-esteem in her piece Self-Compassion: Moving beyond the pitfalls of a separate self-concept (2008). I'll summarize some of what she wrote while also sharing my own thoughts on this topic. When people succeed, their self-esteem is often elevated, and they feel good. At those times, all is well.
It is only when one hears pet names from someone one does not love that they are condescending, and until the climax of the play, Nora genuinely loves Torvald. We know this because she saves her husband’s life with a morally questionable act. This act may have ultimately led to the undoing of the marriage, but she does it “out of love” (209) nonetheless. Nora feels that Torvald has been kind to her, and she “thought it was fun when [Torvald] played with [her]” (249). And play they do.
Unfortunately, not everyone gets to experience its wonders. That does not mean it does not exist. I will be explaining why love is so difficult to come by in the society we live in today: as well as clarifying why I am such a firm believer in true love.
