The United States Army Chain of command is important. It allows soldiers to address issues accordingly, depending on their matter of importance. Certain members of the chain of command, such as SGM’s, 1SG’s, and such, have higher levels responsibility, and a higher number of soldiers to look after than a platoon sergeant, or sqaud leader are responsible for. The purpose chain of command is so that menial issues can be resolved by team leaders, squad leaders, platoon sergeants, and so forth, depending on their level of importance.
