Ban the Arizona Immigration Law The law I propose is to have the Arizona Immigration Law banned and repelled. Illegal immigrants come to the United States for the good life and start fresh, but thinking about it more and more illegal immigrants are going to fill the United States without even knowing the laws or language, which is why we need to ban the Arizona Law. This law is needed because it subjects plenty of ethnic groups and races to public discrimination and racism, which violates the rights of citizens (Americanized citizens). The fourth amendment guards against unreasonable searches and seizures, unless probable clause can be provided. The Arizona Immigration Law says that law enforcement officers only need a reasonable suspicion of a person to be an undocumented immigrant. Citizens of America (legal immigrants), are subjected to embarrassing and uneccassary searches if considered to “look” like an undocumented immigrant and may have some properties taken away from them since it may look like a threat to the government. The 14th Amendment prohibits state and local governments from depriving persons (individual and corporate) of life, liberty, or property based on race, ethnicity, or gender. This law should not have been passed in the first place, since it violates citizen’s right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Many people cannot pursuit to happiness since this law has been passed and some of these people are actually citizens of America. Like how the Arizona Department of Education has told schools that teachers with "heavy" or "ungrammatical" accents are no longer allowed to teach English…show more content…
All the law is saying that law enforcements can ask for national ID and see if that person is here illegally by checking out the immigration status of the person. By having this law repelled it will just opens a door to human smuggling and once they’re in America, most likely no one will know that they are illegal, unless they get arrested. Sheriff Joe Arpaio of the Maricopa County in Arizona says his office in the last three years has investigated, arrested, detained in our jails over 38,000 illegal aliens with very few lawsuits. He says one night, when there was a lot of commotion, going on outside of house and office, sent out 200 deputy sheriffs and volunteer posse and within 12 hours arrested 93 people, around 65 were illegal aliens involved in human smuggling. By having this law we can easily catch illegal aliens who came into America without being processed.
