Many may argue that it has kept communication very high and the importance it is to have a cellular phone, but the effect that technology has on families has greatly increased. Technology has improved our way of living, but families have also realized the negative effect as well. According to English- Lueck, it seems that although the boundaries between work and home has been dissolved and re-established by telecommuting many adults find themselves bringing work and worries home, interfering with family life. Ideas can be transferred instantaneously making life incredibly easy and allowing people total comfort at home. The internet itself created millions of business opportunities and jobs, changing the economy drastically, but, what has technology done to families?
Technology becoming out of hand for the future In the article “Why the future doesn’t need us” by Bill Joe (2000) states that in the future the world is not going to need us. He continues his argument by stating that computers are being created to do the jobs of humans, but a lot better, which leaves many people out of jobs. As of now there is not an industry that uses a computer to do daily work. Computers do make work more efficient, but knowing that humans may be voluntary to give up power to a machine. If humans do give up power to machines they may be capable of making all of our decisions for us.
