In the 2000 film Cast Away, a FedEx employee named Chuck Noland’s company plane crashes, leaving him stranded with a flashlight, a watch, and a couple of FedEx packages. Some of those packages contained ice skates, a VCR player, and last, but not least, a volleyball. The second blood sacrifice comes as a peace offering following an argument between the two that culminates when Noland throws Wilson out of the cave in which they are hiding from the storm. Almost immediately after his outburst, Noland goes looking for Wilson and feels panicked and guilty when at first he cannot find him. The worry leaves his face the instant Noland locates Wilson near the ocean between some rocks and brings him
