When Albertsons faced tough competition by its biggest competitor Wal-Mart, they hired Larry Johnston. The company hired this individual with one main objective that this individual will help the organization in such a way that its revenue will increase and profits will start getting higher and higher. Johnston applied the same technique which was once applied when he was working in General Electric. Johnston was sent to Paris to fix the European division of General Electric Medical Systems which made CT Scanners. This division was not at all turning out to be profitable which is why Johnston was transferred to that division and Ed Foreman was also hired who was a training specialist. When Ed Foreman joined the organization the attitude of the employees changed gradually as Foreman use to conduct different motivation and attitude trainings which very much helped the employees to come to work with a broader perspective. After Foreman got in, people began to live their lives in a different manner and in 3 years time, the division started to make huge annual profits which amounted $100 million. Foreman's these training sessions helped the employees a lot. Primary focus of Foreman's program was on attitude and he used to say that 'It's your attitude, not your aptitude that determines you’re altitude.' There were different sessions conducted that emphasized a lot on the fact that positive thoughts creates positive actions.
