The latest FIFA ranking can explain. China, which is considered one of the super power country in the world, is now ranked 73th while the tiny island Trinidad is ranked just a little lower than it, 82th among the world. Some may say ranking can not tell the whole truth, however, what I want to say is, it's about time China have to face this. Things is not that bad in China in fact. Though China's soccer is undergoing a big personnel earthquake on it's bureau while huge scandal is also exposed by the media, but it's finally on the right track we can see. Great investment is flooding into the soccer field and the soccer market is healthily growing. Take the CSL(China Super League) as an example. After the wide range of corruption of the referees and officials, people once claimed that China's soccer was hopeless. But the reform of the the league make a great difference. A more mature and standardized market is now prosperously growing. The dramatic success of Guangzhou team has definitely showed it. With the 200 million budget and star player like the former MVP in Brazil league Conca, the team has won their first super league title and smoothly entered into the elimination game of AFC champions league(highest standard soccer game in asia). WONG2 Trinidad is doing a good job indeed. With such a small population, soccer could still have a great chance to survive here.
