A Presidential election was held in the year of 1972 in the United States. “The Presidential trip makes sense only if it is to serve the purpose of its domestic electoral impact.”12 Meaning, the president’s reasoning behind the trip is to get votes in the presidential election in November. To boost his credibility he broke twenty two years of policy and fear to impress upon the people of the United States that he was “a master of foreign policy”13 and the right man for the job. Nixon’s “dramatic and heroic decision” was publicized even more through television. The “drama” of the visit created hype as never seen before.14 The American people believed in the sentimentality of the trip.15 They really thought that this trip would change the course of the whole world forever, which needless to say, it was not.
February 2, 2008 was our biggest most consequential game of the year, for our varsity school soccer team. The year could be described by some as a year of rebuilding and upset after upset. Yet to many of us it was a year of growing and building of friendship. The match that was lurking closer and closer was against Sunnyside High School who we had previously defeated in a nail-bitter style game. Nevertheless we knew not to underestimate them for they were currently ranked 2nd in this vast sate, that encompassed many commendable and worthy teams.

China is a bustling nation, but could it be the next world superpower? For one it certainly has potential, with the army, manpower, technology, and money they sure could rise to the top at any rate. Not only does china have all of this, but America still owes them money and they also make everything for America, they could cut off this supply line if they needed to which could lead to problems for the great young nation. China could undeniably be a world superpower in the near future or further. Like stated China has the man power to do just about anything quickly even working on extremely large projects could be a breeze for china.
