Name Teacher Class Date 9/11 Conspiracies Essay “Conspiracies are an everyday part of life.” There have been many conspiracies throughout time. Many people have questioned themselves about what actually occurred the day 9/11 took place. There are a lot of different conspiracies, and beliefs that formally originates about 9/11 attacks. So I will be addressing the conspiracies that people may believe that are true or false. Those would be: air defense were told to stand down, planes didn’t make the twin towers collapse, bombs did, insider traders knew about the attacks before it happened, cell phone calls from the plane were fake. Some believe air defenses were told to ‘stand down’. This conspiracy exists because it us rumored that the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) set out the jet fighters late the day of 9/11. It was also rumored that they sent the jet fighters away from the 9/11 hijacked airplanes on purpose to make sure they would reach their targets. The North American Aerospace Defense Command is prepared to send out fighter jets, which can debilitate or shoot down an airplane. Some skeptics believe NORAD commanded defense systems stood down because of their lack of presence during attacks. My beliefs of this conspiracy are true. The jets did not manage to respond until after the attack was over. It took more then an hour for them to respond. The U.S. government claims the FFA did not report NORAD about the hijacked planes the 3rd out of the 4th hijacked airplanes crashed, this claim would indicate that the FAA repeatedly lied to the U.S. government agencies. In my opinion I think conspiracy is proven true. However, others believe that planes didn’t make the twin towers collapse, bombs did.
