For example, I can delegate the task of emptying a catheter to a nursing assistant instead of having the nurse do it. Identifying the ability and skill is important as well. I will not be able to delegate a task of inserting an intravenous line if the nurse does not have training on it. To choose the right person we also need to consider the personality, reliability, and commitment because it can make the tasks of delegation easier. If a person is committed and reliable, then we know that the task will be done. In the end, feedback and evaluation are a good way to end the delegation process. How you deal with the conflict can determine the success of the task to be completed. In order for conflict to be resolved, we need to be neutral. We need to keep an open mind. If someone gives an idea or opinion, think about it first before responding. We need to keep an open mind and understand where the other person is coming from. As a team, we need to learn how to reach a common ground and compromise in order for the task to be successful. Also need use the assertive style of communication to enhance the teamwork. Slide 9 Feedback Identify the situation first. Some might need immediate feedback, such as correcting an action or giving direction Feedback can be provided to acknowledge task completion. This can be either positive or negative. When giving feedback always make sure that you are specific and make sure that it is done timely and privately.
