Atticus never doubted his beliefs; he unlike majority of other white men in Maycomb knew what was right, Atticus became a lawyer because he is an honest man that believes in justice and he proves it to the reader every time that his words are listed. A strong example of Atticus being the leader he is to his family and the community is when he tells Scout the reason why he
It may be their mother, friend, teacher, sport player, father, sibling, or as simple as a pet. My hero is my son. I consider him my hero because threw everything I have gone through, I know from here on out he will always be there for me. As a young child, he only sees the good in people and not the evil. No matter what, he will always save me.
The most prominent character quality of Ralph’s life was that he was generous; he loved to help build and help his family move along even when he was just 9 years old. He was also an eager learner and because of this he learned many useful talents such as how to ride a horse and how to shoot. (pg.222) he could also be very sneaky and deceitful at times as well (see pg. 154) but for most of this period in his life he was honest and felt bad when he did something wrong. Another good character trait was that he was extremely ambitious usually he would pick out tasks that carried a significant amount of weight sometimes even he could not complete them.
Gretzky commonly said, “You’re guaranteed to miss one hundred percent of the shots you don't take” ("Wayne Gretzky Foundation"). This shows Gretzky’s positive outlook on life because it means that you can’t be afraid to reach your goals, because you will never achieve them unless you try. Although Wayne Gretzky was a great player on the ice, his actions of kindness and humbleness are what he is most remembered and honored by. Wayne Gretzky’s contributions are shaped by his father’s motivating attitude, his family, friends, and even the media. Therefore, Gretzky was able to have an outstanding hockey career and be a role model off the ice, leading to the creation of the Wayne Gretzky Foundation and the active role he plays in charity.
After Chris Gardner was evicted from his home, his mind evolved on the world around him. The thing that saved him and his son, was Chris’s intelligence with numbers and people. His mind set him to a higher goal in life; happiness. Many things we succeed in require our minds to be used properly. As said by our third president, Thomas Jefferson, “Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits.
Charlie also worked so much that he ended up moving a cot into his lab to research, proving his avid enthusiasm. If he didn’t get an IQ boost, he would’ve never been able to do that. Secondly, Charlie pointed out in the beginning that he didn’t care that the intelligence wouldn’t last, and that he just wants to be able to experience it once. Even when he was being depressed about his mind regressing, he earnestly said that he didn’t blame anyone and that it was none of their faults. Charlie is a good person and was truly thankful for the operation.
They put all their strength out and remember that they are playing for the glory of Him. Their winning tradition has taught them that you gain what you plant; if you work hard, good things will come. It even emphasizes that point with Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you…for with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." The coaches had an idea that he needs to reach boys when they start, not when they fall off the rails into criminal behavior. The movie shows the team praying before games which was part of the fabric of the life of the team.
The only thing I really want to people to remember something positive about me. Randy connected with the audience through relatable everyday instances, visuals, and interesting stories of events and dates that he experienced. He drew us in, he displayed himself that he is just an ordinary family man and relating to his level is easy to follow. People remember him still today, because he showed us bravery. Being complete accepting for his life’s turn of events and turning it into something great
Joseph Kain PSYC-305-21736 January 11, 2015 Week 1 - Individual Assignment Question 1: There is no doubt that indeed Todd McFarlane is a great leader with some awesome leadership characteristic traits. I noticed that Todd McFarlane possesses the leadership traits of learning to be strong and not be rude. According to the passage, he never gave up on his dreams or displays any rude behavior even with all the rejection letters that he received from employers. Todd McFarlane learned to be kind but not weak. Kindness is a certain type of leadership trait and I saw in the reading that Todd McFarlane was kind and considerate enough to lay it on the line by donating proceeds from his collection displays to charity (Lou Gehrig Foundation).
We planned to take a trip to Walmart after I got out of school.
