Currently, employees are stressed to epidemic proportions because they encounter workplace stress and it’s more intense due to economic and social issues. Furthermore they have other physical problems like the smaller and cramped workspace and shorter time to fulfill their tasks. One cause of stress at work is called desk rage. There are some researches and studies about causes, consequences and solutions for this anger. The effects of this stressful routine influence the productivity and the worker’s social life. An employee’s stress affects their income and it can be harmful to the companies which don’t adopt politics to prevent this problem. Stressed out employees are losing their calmness and displacing anger at work. This “desk rage” can be observed from rude acts and mood changes to discussions with co-workers. Usually people don’t get irritable all at once, but they give early signs that go unnoticed by the person and the people around them (Wilson, 2011). If noticed by the manager it is their responsibility to work with the employee to avoid desk rage. To combat desk rage it’s necessary first to identify signs of stress and to follow some tips; form an idea of the employees’ workloads, confront the employees’ aggression, encourage workers to take lunch, take breaks away from work area. Employees should also be encouraged to take vacations when they are able to, pay attention to how the employee interacts with other co-workers, make the workplace environment pleasant and fun, and educate employees about the signs of stress and encourage them to use the de-stressing programs. Another important initiative is to find alternative ways for the employee to work without feeling micromanaged. This allows the employee to be responsible and feel confident in the work they do on a daily basis. Sometimes it can be difficult to decrease the stress level
