There are countless things that people have to do every single day in life so going college will help give you a better idea of what the definition of life really is. And the last reason why college matters is because it helps you interact with other people better. Communication plays a very important role every single day and a lot of employers rely on their employees to have sufficient communication skills. Some people tend to interact with people very well and others don’t. For the people who don’t interact with people well, college will give you the opportunity to enhance your communication skills for the real world.
Deshaun Wilson English 1002-40619 9/5/12 ULM’s Greatest Organization Being involved on campus was always one of my main goals. Campus Activities Board, also known as CAB, is a great way for me to achieve that goal. Campus Activities Board is an organization that host many activities and events on campus throughout the school year that allows you to meet new people, gain leadership skills, have lots of fun, and learn an abundance of new things. If you’re always bored, CAB is the organization responsible creating great events. For example, the awesome Spring Fever week, an event that most students won’t miss, at the end of April.

While speaking with my mentor, she states that I have the ability to assist my peers and assess their needs on and individualized basis. I can also influence and motivate my team members to accurately and efficiently complete tasks, and produce higher productivity and job
The primary focus of the team is to improve "interdependency among tasks—the success of the whole depends upon the success of each member and the success of each member depends on the success of the others" according to Robbins and Judge, (2013, pg. 346). The goal is to match the individual's skills and personality according to the assigned task in the Employment Verification Division. Personality Analysis Types Team B consists of four unique personality types evaluated using the DISC information to create a motivational plan based on the information collected. The DISC assessment reveals and identifies each employee's specific interactive personality
Taking part in these also improved my time management skills as all meetings had to be attended on time and I also had to work to deadlines. I have a part time job in a shop, New Look, in which I have to deal with members of the public on a daily basis. This has improved my confidence greatly. I also have to work as part of a team in New Look, showing that I am a good listener and co-operative – which would be key in doing well in university. I would employ all these skills throughout university life in order to help me succeed and do well.
LIFE EXPERIENCES As I have experienced many things in my life, I am now more prepared to go through my degree program because of my personal desire to be successful. I have the full support of my immediate family that matters most to me. Although I am just beginning on my journey to a degree with Ashford University, the staff has been very helpful and supportive in helping find the right program and get started on the right track. My previous school experience in the traditional setting, as well as, online has prepared me to continue my higher learning education
Week Three Team Reflection March 5, 2012 Organizational Development Andrew Wagstaff There are so many different things that people can do so that they can make a great team. One thing is to definitely communicate with one another and get to know each other a little better than what they already do. Another thing is to come up with an activity for all of them to do in a certain amount of teams to see how good they can do things in partners then after they are done with their tasks have them alternate. Of course it would have to be an activity that has to do with what the group will do in the future but the other advantage in this situation would have to be that the group will come together and get comfortable with one another. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT Training and development is ongoing at the Golden 1. Opportunities to learn and develop are presented to employees to further enhance their career goals. Training is most often done in house via face-to-face classroom time, online, and can also come in the form of outside workshops done through local and non-local universities, colleges and vendor/partner groups. Ronnie stated that, “training is the biggest retention tool they have at their disposal and the investment must be made in the growth of his employees. “ For their training efforts, the Golden 1 took 1st place in 2007’s Credit Unions National Association’s Training Championship and was named to Training Magazines “Training Top 125” list three years in a row, from 2008-2010.
Perseverance in my life Hello, school officials, teachers, classmates, ladies and gentleman at Argosy University. In the following months I have attendant Argosy University Online Program. I have had the ability to maintain a successful path towards my goal and it has given me the opportunity to apply for this scholarship. It is an honor for me to write this essay not only because of my academic standards that I have achieved at Argosy but perseverance has been a term that I have dealt with all my life. Perseverance to me is committing to strive for better despite the road, setbacks or shortcomings that are before me.
