I have made many friends including Cadet/Private Sommermeyer and Cadet/Private Tatum. These many friends extend beyond the JROTC classroom and will no doubt be there when I most need them to be. Another thing ROTC is good for is community service hours. My counselor has already given me a community service worksheet to fill out whenever I do something and she says it will help me get into a much better college and will also look good on my Job/college application. JROTC also inspires me to work hard in school and out of school.

My high school experience has been full of obstacles, achievements, and remarkable moments I will always remember. I have been involved with cheerleading my whole life and I recently became a member of the National Beta Club my junior year in high school. Both of these organizations gave me experiences to better myself as an individual and a leader figure. I also have achieved the following requirements of the Greater Orangeburg Community foundation scholarship. Becoming a recipient of this award would help me towards my goals set in life and most of all majoring in biology.
And through it all my interest of the game has only increased. Playing at Kentridge High School on the freshman and sophomore teams taught me how to work and play as a team, a viable skill to learn when you’re young so you can employ it later in your career and in your life. Kentridge is also where I learned
The second aspect of the club/program philosophy will be the overall goal for each wrestler’s mentality. That is, to develop champions on the mat, in the classroom, and in life. My students will develop life-values such as commitment, dedication, discipline, sacrifice, teamwork, and work ethic. As a whole, they will understand that upholding these values to the best of their ability will allow them to achieve the highest degree of success with whatever they choose to do in their lives.
Through this program, teachers return to their school with more knowledge, determination, and commitment to change their students' lives. Freedom Writers Foundation Website, an article titled “About the Scholarship Program”, noted, “The Freedom Writers Foundation awards scholarships each year to first-generation high school seniors and college students who have demonstrated remarkable academic promise despite considerable odds.” This program supports students in many ways. By providing the students a scholarship, they continue to learn and they have a shot at becoming what they want. Students through this program also receive support to earn a degree from college. Erin has inspired many teachers, students, and everyday people through this foundation.
Becoming Drum Major has definitely been in my mind since the very first Marching Band meeting I attended. I wish to obtain this prestigious position because it shows true character in a person. Truth is, I didn’t know what it meant to be a Drum Major until I saw how previous Drum Majors acted throughout my freshman and sophomore year. I saw that they both inspired many people to do their best, and for this I was inspired to try-out for this position. I really want to be able to motivate the band to do well in competitions and in addition, reach their goals in life.
Even though I was unsuccessful, it still did not prevent me from furthering my performance in Sport. From an early age, my passion for Sport has continued to grow, and it is these qualities that I wish to channel towards a successful teaching career within Physical Education. My passion is and has always been to become a fully qualified Secondary School Physical Education teacher and in doing so will channel my energy throughout the course. Having studied a sport course related to Physical Education at Easton College in the United Kingdom, I have been able to gain a vast amount of knowledge and feel that studying a degree course at College/University will help provide me with the necessary skills and qualities. After completing my studies at Easton College, I completed numerous hours of work experience at the London 2012 Olympic Games, which involved me working as a steward.
I became actively involved in my community, and I began taking on numerous leadership positions. Although this hard work and success was sparked by my relation to Amelia Earhart, it has developed into an all-around love for education and self-improvement. Today, I am an individual dedicated to expanding knowledge, leadership, and service. As soon as it became available to
