I believe Mrs. Williams left an impact on every child who was blessed enough to have her. When compared to a few other teachers I have had, there is a very practical reason why Mrs. Williams sticks out. Her thoughtfulness and cheeriness top the charts. Mrs. Williams has influenced me so greatly that I have decided to become an English teacher. I only hope to be half as great as her.
Alice presented several skills taught by Miss Dennis such as asking them to pay attention to and to think about the things which are going on around them and telling them that good descriptive writing makes the reader see what the writer see. The teacher also taught her students to find their unique personal voices. Then the writer moved on to the impacts Miss Dennis had made on her life through narrating Miss Dennis ‘s encouraging her to the writing contest, which made her more confident and also the private conversation about the death of the writer’s father, after which they made a special relationship. Alice also mentioned their common interest on Emily Dickinson’s poems and the present given by Miss Dennis at the end of that year, which is cherished by her although it is now pretty old and broken. The writer showed her respect and miss of her writing teacher with simple but descriptive words.
I can honestly say that the teacher in the classroom did a great job with her students and I will be walking away with a bunch of awesome strategies and resources to take back to my own classroom to help with teaching reading and language arts. In this line, we grasp how the narrator feels confident that the lanyard he braided would give his mother the passionate satisfaction that she once gave him. One of the key phrases in this line that demonstrates self- confidence in the narrator is “with a little help from a counselor”. With that help he received, he feels that the lanyard is something huge that can recompense his mother. The other tone that is seen throughout this poem is the mother’s responses.
Before this interview, I defined a school counselor as someone who provides guidance to help with the development of a child academically and socially. However, I learned this is still their philosophy but their duities have changed. As I interviewed, Ms. Childs a counselor from the Cypress-Fairbanks school district, I truly understood the difference between the role of a counselor and their duties. She has wanted to be a counselor since the third grade. She had an excellent elementary school counselor and always remembered her as being the nicest person on campus.

For instance in her algebra class , when her teacher explains the way to solve the problem or what ever they may be learning that day she would understand it the first time she hears him explain it. She always wants to know something new. Jasmine is very sweet and she can get along with everyone that come in contact with her. She will also help anyone that needs help. She would try to help someone with there work even if she doesn't know how to do it.
EDCI 352 Reflective Essay Planning and Preparation: My clinical instructor was Mrs. Mills, a kindergarten teacher at Marietta Elementary. Mrs. Mills has a planning book where she keeps all her lesson plans. She allowed me to look at these lesson plans. She includes the objectives she covers and intervention strategies in case they are needed. She is required to submit her lesson plans to the principle for approval every week.
