Steve Jobs This quote represents the common opinion of people about Steve Jobs, "Steve Jobs, the cofounder of Apple Computer, Inc., was more than a computer maker. He was a modern folk hero"(Grolier Online). Steve Jobs spear headed the technological revolution that was the past 40 years in America. Steve Jobs is the most influential person of the past 20 years because he overcame great odds, proved that by working hard it is possible to- achieve greatness, and revolutionized the way we do almost everything. Steve Jobs is the most influential person of the last 20 years because he over came great odds to get to were he is today. Steve Jobs was having conflict with the CEO and Board of Apple, "Steve Jobs resigned in September 1985, and sold all but one of his Apple shares, in disgust. He went ahead with his plan anyway, and incorporated NeXT " (Moisecot 1). After being betrayed by the company that he founded, Jobs made the best of a bad situation and started another computer company. By doing this Steve Jobs overcame great odds and took it in to his own hands …. When NeXT was beginning to be a "bust", Steve, again, took into his own hands and created Pixar. Pixar was basically a couple of computer scientists and they wanted to make movies using computer animation only. There was a problem, there were not computers that powerful enough to do that. Jobs had a plan; "Steve Jobs set a goal for the company to sell high-end computer graphics workstations" (Moisecot 1). Jobs followed through on that goal and as we all know created a computer to create multi-million dollar films like Toy Story & Monsters Inc.. This again shows that Steve Jobs had to overcome great odds to create Pixar; in order for Pixar to work, Jobs would need to make computers with technology that was several years away, but he made it happen.
