This involves property owners, local government, and business owners. As an advocate, it is important to cultivate support from high-profile people, people with special skills, and people with good community reputations, to lend credibility to an advocacy plan. My advocacy plan would help the homeless find shelter, medical care, and jobs so they can become more independent. If members of the community or group have different views on how I should proceed, I may need to use meditative skills to bring the people to consensus. My role as a mediator in this situation would be to nurture cooperative partnership, maintain confidentiality, and develop strategies to address any barriers to reduce homelessness.

Also the literacy rates are low, Haiti needs help until the government is able sustain the people in this country. To begin, Haiti has a very low annual income compared to other countries in the world. The Gross Domestic Product in Haiti in 2013 is $8.459 billion dollars. This should have ranged from $30,000 to $17 trillion. Also the country is very over crowded, in 2013 the population recorded 10.32 million people.
What I mean with that is that anymore can volunteer and contribute, but the bond is stronger when the people who do volunteer strongly believe in the mission and purpose of the organization that they are emphasizing their contributions. I know for me, I am logical thinker if I find something that makes sense to me or aligns with my core values then my efforts will be stronger. The elements that I feel resonate the most with high devotion of civic engagement would be social impact and cultural aspect. Because if it’s regarding a social impact then you know its going to be for a good cause since social impact is about the well being that is being promoted for the community. If you are someone who cares about people and especially with people in the community then the devotion will be to its highest potential.

The type of individual’s that live in each city are hard working, honest, care deeply about their community, their family values are unparallel. People involve themselves in their community affairs, by volunteering their time at their local library, YMCA, and the local chapter of Boy Scout Club. The types of work they do are also similar, government and private sector jobs; ranges from librarian, police officers, school teachers, administrators, insurance, store keepers, restaurant, and construction.
It is a time when individuals understands and knows where they are headed and knows his or her goals. Personal empowerment involves developing the strength and confidence to fulfil one’s potential and to set realistic goals. Interpersonal empowerment is when one or more persons collaborate to make decisions to follow through a plan. Interpersonal empowerment is about experiences with others that facilitate problem resolution. Political empowerment is the government working to help the community and promoting political participation on specific issues for the community population.
Their application is not limited to commercial enterprises; they are equally applicable to government, non-profits, and other NGOs. These principles are focused on the relationships between leaders and the people that they are responsible for. Effectively applied, they can help leaders establish a culture that values communications, leader and talent development, learning, and recognition.
