In year one a key task was to develop and approach and ethos, especially as a membership organisation that would inspire this knowledge, hope and belief further. Keeping this in mind helped us to shape our plans and strategic direction for this coming year and beyond. So to John Campbell, John Arthur, Jed, Reg, Keith, Simon Martin and Michael thank you once again for the invaluable contribution in making this happen. I would also like to make special mention and thanks to David Best and Valerie Tallon who were unable to stay on the Board but helped us at the start of this journey. The Board’s vision is only one part that makes an organisation work.

In 2010 Starbuck has considerably change as a business, but the initial mission was still part of the process they just added more to add to express their commitment to not only the employees and customer, but the community, farmer, and the whole world. Schultz interest in creating a company that could be sustainable and responsible not only stops at Starbuck but it was also extended to business partners. Thru the times Starbucks strategic mission never change, but adapted and grew to account for business changes, Shultz idea in allowing employees to be a strategic part of the company will continue as main priority while adding changes to meet company goals. With this said it will be prudent or considerable that the strategic mission will continue to grow as new strategies will have to go in place to sustain the business for times to come. 2.

Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. For some, success is measured by social status and wealth; for others success is determined only by the amount of happiness one feels. Money is the main concern for some people. It is a crucial necessity for anyone who is trying to succeed in life. Many believe that the only way to succeed is to have a lot of money.
Most of today’s society equates success with money and power. However, for me, that is not the case. Being a millionaire does not matter to me, what does matter to me is waking up each day excited for a new opportunity in a career which inspires me while surrounded by people I love. True success is attaining a balance between a fulfilling professional career, physical and emotional well-being, strong relationships with family and friends, and time carved out for community service in an area of my interest. Endicott College appears to be a perfect place for me to prepare to find that successful balance I am seeking.
