Secondly Desktops are studier and not delicate as Laptops. If you want to load high end applications like the multimedia movie making software and other applications requiring high end configuration, Desk top is the best choice and it cannot be done in Laptops. Everyone including children can use Desktops which are very rugged and strong whereas Laptops are very delicate and can easily get spoilt. Unlike laptops, Desktop parts are very cheap and Desktops can be repaired easily even by yourself. Desktops can be upgraded several times easily.
This type of use made learning Windows both automatic and enjoyable. Before the invention of Windows, only computer people or really technologically savvy people were able to use computers. You had to be a computer programmer to understand or use personal computers. Windows 1 and later versions of Windows changed all that (Geier, Eric. "A History Of Microsoft Windows").
Introduction The PC that I chose is the HP Pavillion Touch-Screen All-in-One computer. The touch-screen feature of this computer is the main reason why I selected it, besides the other latest technological features it has, being that not many computers come touch-screen. The Mac model I chose for comparison is the iMac, being that it’s the newest model that is available, plus Apple doesn’t offer much of a diverse selection when it comes to the desktops. Processor The AMD A6-series processor on the HP computer is relatively fast, however it delivers much better graphics than the processor on the Mac computer. Whereas the processor on the Mac doesn’t produce as high-quality graphics, yet provides a little more speed.
Armed with only some writing material- pens, pencils, paper, and a typewriter- I would have been required to make presentation on the various subjects. One of the only means that is like PowerPoint would have been a screen projector, which is rather crude compared to the PowerPoint we have today. With PowerPoint I can add facts, pictures, graphics, and sounds that make the presentation look very professional. “Microsoft Excel is a program that is found within the Microsoft Office Suite of computer programs that are meant to make life easier for both individuals as well as businesses of all sizes.” (EDITOR, 2013) Excel has a wide range of useful functions like spread
When it comes to memory, loading side content, to use when you are not in a WiFi area, the Barnes and Noble Nook 8g tablet out shines the Amazon Kindle Fire. Both eReaders are 8g memory, with only 5g available for the user to download books, magazines, and apps from their prospective stores, as well as your side loaded music and movies. The Barnes and Noble Nook 8g tablet wins out because it has a microSD slot where you can load up to a 32g card with all the movies, books, apps, and music you can fit. For traveling this is awesome, since you do not always have WiFi access, but you can still watch movies on the go. Both devices have apps where you can rent movies and shows but this is only effective when you have Internet access.
Although the desktop largely contains the same components, the parts are not as integrated. Any beginner can change the keyboard or monitor of a desktop; however, the same beginner would find that changing those components on a laptop near impossible. The second difference is in the price. Based on similar specifications, a laptop can cost over twice as much as a desktop. For the same money, you will always be able to get a much more powerful desktop with a larger screen and more storage.
3DO The 3DO console was intended to be made by any manufacturer who signed a licensing agreement with the 3DO company. These companies included some of the world’s largest electronics companies at the time: Goldstar, Sanyo, Samsung, AT&T, Creative Labs and even Panasonic, which at the time of the 3DO's release was the largest electronic manufacturer. A second part of 3DO’s business strategy was to be extremely liberal when it came to manufacturing the system; the idea was that there would be no designated system specs. This gave manufacturers the freedom to create anything they wanted for any person or audience. In concept it would give consumers more choices as the 3DO would be extremely upgradeable.
With the Macintosh, Apple took some new innovations (the mouse, a graphical interface and the laser printer) and used them to bring desktop publishing to the masses. The quirky Mac, with its small, 9-inch black-and-white screen and 3.5-inch floppy disks, quickly developed a legion of rabid enthusiasts, creating the phenomenon known as the "Cult of Mac." The iPod and iTunes were Apple’s foray into music. Before them, Apple had only offered DVD playing drives on its iMacs, but not CD burners. When iTunes came about, it offered a simpler way to play and listen to music on a computer.
CYBER SECURITY (Raw 95%, weighted 100.00%) With a background in Network Security and a degree in computer science I would have all the necessary experience needed to delve into the cyber security world! The money is very good and the job satisfaction (weighted) is awesome as well. I weighted it at 100% because of all its attributes! CONCLUSION Using the evaluation matrix is not as difficult as I thought it would be. It just took some getting used to.
They have made it both easier and faster to do things. The one piece of technology that has affected my life is the computer and all its programs. The computer and all its programs have made my life so much easier. Before the computer was invented you either had to write out what you wanted to say or typewrite it on the typewriter. However this was not always easy because if you made a mistake there was no way to fix it but to write it over again or use white out.
