Sam Ibrahim, one of the first Lebanese-Australian men to be allowed to join an Australian outlaw motorcycle club. Was elected president of the Granville chapter of the Nomads Motorcycle Club in 1997. This chapter of the Nomads subsequently became a powerful criminal organisation in Sydney. However, due to a falling out with the Nomads' leadership group, the chapter splintered in 2007 to form a new outlaw motorcycle club, the Notorious Gang Wissam "Danny" Amer, a cousin to nightclub promoter John Ibrahim -- left the Hells Angels' Parramatta chapter last year to join the rival Nomads. Two high-ranking Hells Angels members from the club's Parramatta chapter have been seeking retribution on him ever since. A third bikie, Sleiman "Simon" Tajjour -- the Nomads' Parramatta chapter president -- has been drawn into the saga by protecting Amer, who is currently on bail facing criminal charges. The conflict over Amer's defection has been at the heart of three police strike forces, each formed after flare-ups in gun violence since last year. They include Strike Force Restore -- formed in August 2011 -- which probed five tit-for-tat shootings around Merrylands, Bossley Park and Wakeley. They are considered to be an outlaw motorcycle club; however, not all members ride motorcycles. Its emblem features a skull with a turban brandishing twin pistols and the words "Original Gangster" beneath it, along with the motto "Only the dead see the end of war”. Labelled as one of Australia's most dangerous gangs, they had been feuding with larger and well-known motorcycle gangs including the Hells Angels and the Bandidos.
