My Role as a Teacher

A nice remember came into my mind being a little boy and playing school with my cousins. From that day on I knew I wanted to be a teacher. But, it was until my experiences in high school that I wandered that I wanted to be a Teacher during all my life. I have always wanted to do something to improve the quality of education considering the fall out in my town's educational system. My aunt was a great inspiration. I loved the way she taught when she worked as a pre-scholar teacher. She was passionate about what she did. My English high school’s teacher motivated me with her unique teaching style and that is why I decided to learn from this role that woman uses to teach or to transmit a purpose. Now I understand what means the role about Woman as Educator and that makes me feel totally sure that I will love this profession because I enjoy teach children or teenagers their developmental stages positively. I enjoy about being a pre- service teacher knows that I have impacted people's lives by giving them essential skills or positively influencing their lives. Throughout this dynamic process we as Teachers are permitted to learn and put into practice the next day what I learned on the previous day (I mean what we learn at the University), because this is the wonder of teaching and learning does not stop once obtained the Teacher's Certification. Later we find that more than a Teacher we will be transform into Educator. If we are wrong, we can take a step back, look again and walk again. So as Kumaravadivelu explain us: "In our way we will construct our walk". Step by step I find that teaching a language is a matter of facing the unknown. And for me, no matter how deep it can pretend, it gives me peace of mind. In the other hand, there is just one thing that makes me feel uncomfortable about teaching.
