America, “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” This statement to American’s is taken to heart and we know what it means to live in a free country. When most people hear the word freedom they think government or democracy. However, living in a free country means you have freedom in every aspect of your life, whether with politics, work, education, ect. As American citizens we can do almost anything our heart desires, because America is the land of opportunity and we take advantage of that. Many foreign countries have citizens that do not know what it means to live free, and they would do whatever it takes legally or illegally to get that freedom they desire. More Mexican immigrants are in the Unites States illegally than ever before, and without the proper authorization to reside or work here (Alvarez1). Immigrants that come from other countries to America without the proper documentation are considered illegal immigrants. The reason illegal immigration occurs is because the immigrants do not have the means to get here legally. They do not have the money because of the lack of work, and most of them only speak their native language so therefore it is nearly impossible to get here the way they need to due to the lack of communication. Also, you have to have the proper paper work, such as birth certificate, social security number, and in poor countries most people never get their hands on their documents, because of government, and in some places this paper work is never even created (Alvarez 1). Also, poor housing and natural disasters can cause you to lose things of this sort. In poorer foreign countries if they get this documentation it may be the only copy of it. American is the best country in the world and always will be, we have more freedom and opportunity than anyone could want. And, as America continues to grow and move forward there will be poor countries that will not. It is a person’s nature to take care of themselves, and if they have a family they will do whatever it takes no matter what, to take care of their family and put them first. Illegally coming to America is not always best but you do whatever you need to do. Even though some people may look down on illegal immigrates and have negative thoughts and feelings toward them, I do not. If you find your doing this just ask yourself, “What would I do if I were in that position?” Almost one hundred percent of the time you will answer with, “I would do whatever it takes to provide for me and my family and to keep us
